    This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm a beginner. I've only been playing for 3 months, and most of the videos about hammer-ons and pull-offs focus on particular scales or drills for people who can already execute a hammer-on.
    Everything else I've practiced so far I've been able to do slowly first and then gradually add speed, but if you hammer-on slowly, there's no sound. Would you recommend making the hammer-on motion slowly at first to develop the accuracy, even though it makes no sound?
    I just want to get started repeating one nice clean hammer-on before I move up to any kind of scale!

    How do you get yours to stay so loud. Mine always die out fast. Trying to do a 7 5h7p5p3. Is it the amp? Am i not smacking it with the wrath of god?

      On bottom E btw 80bpm and these are either 8th notes or 16th notes

      @@michaelstrickland3235 It's not about strength at all really (although power is good), It's about the speed that your finger hits the string. Maybe focus less on how hard, more on how fast. And when I say fast, I mean fast. Hope this helped :)
