Kicking off the debut season of Moog Sound Lab are the Dandy Warhols experimenting with all manner of Moog gear. Watch as they use a soundscape of analog synthesis to reimagine the song "Green," from their seminal second album "Come Down" released in 1997.
Courtney Taylor-Taylor plays the Moog Guitar-Guitar, utilizing the Full Sustain mode of the guitar (which allows players to hold chords infinitely) and uses the MF 104Z Analog Delay, MF-103 12-Stage Phaser and MF-102 Ring Modulator to create a swirling pad of melodic guitar chords.
Love this spacy, trippy version .Really cool .
Love how Zia plays Taurus 3 bass pedals AND the theremin Way to go Zia! Courtney's vocals sound amazing.
you just have to love these old school synths, they sound utterly amazing. But it helps that a song as good as "Green" is the one being experimented on.
On the subject of old synths, Primal Scream recorded "Vanishing Point" on the same (actual) equipment that Pink Floyd used to record "Meddle" and "Dark Side of the Moon". They bought the gear at an auction, apparently. Not relevant, but an interesting aside......
One of my favorite tunes
Wonderfully atmospheric
These guys are just so badass! You really can't get much more cool than this video. Such an incredible song too.

Reminds me of a slowed down & wet 'Orinoco Flow' by Enya.

I used to see them in Portland, OR before they were known. I remember having a chat with one of them about a Korg MS-20 they used on stage back then.

Fathead is the most musically diverse and talented person in the band, hands down. Love them all, though.

Sounds beautiful! (But please Courtney, do something about your hair!)
a lush psychedelic forest
Too much equipment. It gets in the way of the music.
