Christopher Nolan wanted Cillian Murphy (Crane) to be Bruce Wayne when they first proposed this movie. He declined because he said he could not fit the physique of Batman, so he decided to take on the roll of Scarecrow.
Not gunna lie, I always liked the fight sequences more in this movie than the two sequels. This movie treated him like an otherworldly shadow that was OP. In the sequels he just awkwardly threw hammerfists all the time.
Anybody else appreciate the fact that crane sees the scariest thing ever while on the poison but still managing to keep pretty composed considering what he is experiencing the whole time, everyone else screams, cries or flips out!
I'm sure most kids couldn't, considering the last movie was Batman & Robin which was made for little kids, and then going to this with a tonal whiplash is razor thin.

The Joker was great but Murphys Scarecrow was wild. I really wished they expanded on his character. Also the nightmare Batman visuals were perfect, I really wished Nolan didn't go full realism in the Dark Knight. We needed some horror in our Batman film.
Well he did three different movies with three different genres, this one then a crime thriller and then a Disaster movie. You want three of the same? Boring.

Those banging sound at the beginning is probably Batman knocking things off accidentally.

Yhh but he is a theatrical hero so it might be intensional to knock things over and perform trickery and Batman’s smart and strategic
Theatricality and deception are powerful agents, you must become more than just a man in the mind of your opponent.
“Aw, shit..” 😁
I love how Crane speaks nornally and even politely to his henchmen, most villains would yell at them or insult them
Very True
He's not a crime boss, he's a doctor.
BTAS' own Scarecrow insults the henchmen in the episode Nothing to Fear
