And regarding Akane, I can understand you well and feel similarly. She is such an important and often outstanding part of the engine that drives the songs. I used to say it jokingly in the past, but by now they should really think about giving her the bananas intravenously. 🤭🤘🏻

Thanks GGP! Yeah, when I first started listening to Band-Maid, Akane also stuck out for me as distinct from other rock drummers. She did so many things that cut across the orthodox grain I'd been used to, but it's an approach that hits hard with their style of music. For me, the thing that stands out about Band-Maid's vocals is that they even though they are distinct (Miku's are higher and brighter; Saiki's are richer and stronger), they harmonize so incredibly well.
Hell yeah dude. I watched their live set at Lollapalooza and again, Akane was so good. But then MISA would do her thing and I'd be gobsmacked so I just threw my hands up and thought, yeah this is a Voltron situation for real.
My bias is ummm.... all of them? Well... I might have a bit of a musical crush on Kanami. She's a genius, pure and simple. 😍
My crush is on the whole Band-Maid, every single one of them 🙂
Watching her shred at Lollapalooza just took my admiration to another level. And yes, we definitely allow a GROUP bias around here! 😂

Another great song by my all time favorite band. I too believe that the Best of is a wonderful way to get introduced to Band-Maid. I'm fairly new too, 12/21 was my start with Play and Choose Me live. Enjoy the journey.
If you ever think Akane or Ahcan is only a drummer. If you do, THAT’S A WRONG PERCEPTION. She is the melody maker, incorporating with Mincho and MISA, not forgetting Kobato’s and Saichan’s contributions. She is the most MELODIC DRUMMER which ever existed in the human history.
At this point, I don't see how I can argue with that. Especially after seeing them at Lollapalooza...wow
Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid.
So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘 Thx, Jason!

Someone recently mentioned about Akane-san: she makes drum fills into a drum pattern. And that's, I think, what the gist of her style and genius is.
And she does drum fills on the bass drums as well, amazing

I only got into Band-Maid about 1 year ago, but all of their music is really great and Akane is a beast, especially on 'Unseen World' 🤯
Style wise I'd go with Miku too, but personality wise I think I'm a Saiki guy (from what I've seen in interviews) 😜
