how do you set an "and" condition? in this sunset video, pretend the sunset here is 5 pm and you don't get home from work until 6:30. How do you set up both sunset if after a certain time?
Hi Sherri sorry for the delay in response. In order to accommodate the desired 6:30 timeframe, there is an option to add a delay from the original sunset time. This delay would be found under the automation tab.
I just installed a smart switch. Does the app allow me to use multiple delays in the same automation to slowly increase the brightness of my light? (i.e., does it execute all the “then’s” in sequence?)

This is the worst, most complicated explanation I’ve ever seen. Either the app needs to get more simple or you need another and better explained tutorial.

I disagree, WIZ has a much more intuitive process. Feit has always been extremely complicated and disconnected from the way the brain thinks and works.

I own and love these devices, but you are totally right. The app has one of the worst and most complicated UI's I have ever dealt with. The physical product itself is dope and you can't beat the price, so overall the UX is acceptable. But yeah, I can't wait until the app gets some serious updates.
...or until I can afford to furnish my home with LifX products lol

I have a color changing bulb but I can’t set a color.. I can only choose color, which means it will only run using the single preset color. How do I set scenes for different colors and brightnesses??? I don’t have the option to customize a color, just to select color.
Thank you for reaching out to us. if you want to create a scene with different colors and brightness levels, simply to to "smart scenes" and tap the "+" sign or "create scene" and then "launch scenes." Tap the blue circle with the plus sign next to "then" and select "run the device" then select the light followed by "switch," then "on," and finally tap "color light" and select your color and brightness. Now whenever you tap this scene your light will turn on to those parameters. You can create a scene to turn the lights off so that you don't have to do this manually. Just bought smart outdoor dual flood light , What a joke the motion sensor works sometimes and other times it just blinks red I have good WI-FI signal. I can turn light on and off with app other than that its junk.

From what it sounds like you have a connection to your flood light and they are operable, but something might be going on with your sensor. Is there a way to make my bulb change color automatically when not one of the presets. Example I want it to go back and forth from red to green
Hello Devan H, this is such an awesome idea! It's nice to see people are getting creative with our smart bulbs! Have you tried using the "effects" option in the Feit app? You might be better off going to Effect> strobe effect> tap the three lines next to the pencil icon> from there you can select the specific colors you want your light to change to.
What does the "timer" option do? I assumed it is separate from delay.
@The Watcher you are correct the timer is separate from the delay. Essentially the timer is akin to a kitchen timer, to where you can set a device to turn off at your desired time, minutes to hours. The delay function would start a schedule after the set parameters have been met. For example, you set a sunset schedule and add a delay of 5 minutes, then your light would turn on 5 minutes after sunset.

Once you set up the smart scene to have your lights turn on at 10 minutes after sunset, how to you make them turn off at a set time, say 11:30 PM?
Hello @Pete Stein! If you want to have your lights turn off every day at 11:30PM, you will have to make an additional AUTOMATION via the SCHEDULE option. As this will automatically turn your lights off at 11:30pm or whatever your desired time is. Just a reminder, a SCENE is a execution of command(s) given by a phrase or selection via your Feit dashboard.
Wtf? Is this a calculus exam? Why can’t I just simply set the lights to go on and off at a certain time? If then statements? Next I’ll have to formulate a null hypothesis just to program the light fixture!!!
@feit electric is there a way to activate the Smart Scenes from Google Assistant?
Hey Drew, Google/Alexa have their own separate features that incorporate extra options within their own app, that process is called "routines." Each native app will have its own separate limitations as far as compatibility. The Feit App's compatibility is accessing lights groups and shared features such as video viewing and voice assistance.
I keep getting a "failed to launch" error message. What am I doing wrong?

If you have a color changing light bulb that can be music driven, why can’t I specify that in a scene or automation?
@steelcitybirds automations and smart scenes run off of geofencing (weather, time of day, location, etc.) type protocols. The music feature reacts through the device in mention internal music players such as Apple Music, Spotify, CZcams Music, etc.
@@feitelectric i appreciate the quick response! Can I set up a Siri shortcut that changes the lights from “normal” to color, and makes them reactive to music? That’s my ultimate question.
@@steelcitytbirds Siri shortcuts are something that we offer, so you can change the color of your lights. However, Siri cannot open other apps therefore the music syncing can be a bit tricky.. Please reach out to us at info@feit.com and include a screenshot of this thread so that we can assist you in more detail.
@feitelectric reactive music may be difficult, but why not add basic effects to scenes? I would be happy for 4 or 5 different styles of lights changing seperate from music, just to add them to a routine.
"Romantic: slow pink, red, purple lights pulsing randomly"
"Rave: 30-40 dif colors random strobe at fast pace"
Etc...
@@nomadicmemoriesthat’s exactly what I want. I have trouble waking up in the morning and I wish I could make the lights flash at 7:20 to go along with my vibrating alarm, but all you can do is make them stick on white or warm white
Setting up the name should be the first thing it you do want some help making a decent design for your interface reach out ill tell you for free

I am just trying to figure out how to set a schedule to turn on and off the lights a few times each evening. I watch the you tube video but its directions do not match what I see in the app.
A big reason why I stopped purchasing Feit products and went with WIZ. They are much more intuitive.
It’s apparent Feit doesn’t test their software in the real world of everyday/common users.
Their designers may have smarts, but no common sense.
I love the Feit replies that are designed to convince us that they know what they’re doing, rather than asking why are Feit products so difficult to set up. We are the problem, not Feit. 🤣

This is a very very limited app! I wanted it to change the light from Red to green and back to red and back to green with a timer in between and you can't do that
There's no repeat, there's no then statements except for a few that they have that are pretty much useless, it's a very weak app.

I have my bulb set to it. Go to effects select strobe and I just picked red and green rotating and it works fine
Taylor is correct George! you can have the light change from red to green by going to effects>strobe effect>tap the three lines next to the pencil icon. From there you can select which colors you want your smart light to change to! I hope this helps!
@@feitelectric Every time I touch the three lines the app shuts off. Now what?
This app used to be fairly simple to use….now they’ve dimmed it up. Not very intuitive.

A desktop app written for Windows (not running via an emulated OS) would make your products much more user friendly. The configuration of devices via a phone or tablet really sucks.
Hi JAMPROSOUND, thank you for the suggestion. Our App in needing to meet the minimum requirements for emergency location and emergency calling which is available on compatible phones and tablets. Unfortunately desktop applications are not available at this moment, however I will pass this along to our developers for future reference.
So you had a great interface easy to use easy to understand and now this!!? not only is it backwards and inside out but it isn't even efficient I can't name a scene first you say if you ha e devices in a group you can set them all at once but how do you make a group one and two why this crappy interface someone needs to be fired
