Willie Nelson is a co-founder and President of Farm Aid, along with Neil Young, and John Mellencamp. The three agreed that family farmers were in dire need of assistance and in 1985 planned the first Farm Aid concert for American farmers. The following year, Farm Aid II was held on July 4 with performances by Alabama, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Julio Iglesias, Waylon Jennings, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and many more.
Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's Board of Directors in 2001 to help further Farm Aid's mission of keeping family farmers on their land.

Julio always has good spirit, humility, impeccable manners. It seems there is something not working technically for him - sb earlier said his mike too slow but he is just so gracious about it. No fuss, no problem. It is right for the two of them to sing this song together because they complement each other so nicely.

The problem was not in the microphone, Whillie Nelson sang two pitches above Julio Iglesias, and Julio did not reach Whillie Nelson's pitch. The sound engineer had to have toned down Whillie Nelson. But still he defended himself as best he could.

This is my dad’s favorite song, even tho he never had a girlfriend, and he met my mom and he got married. He was 69 and my dad’s favorite song never dies, I miss this song so much that I can listen to it when I cry at night
Your Dad must definitely have been a wise sharp wit.Must definitely might be having many unofficial sweet hearts and would have been wise enough not to share these things with anybody to create a unnecessary conflict zone .I am able to identify with such lot as I myself belong there .Such songs are basically for reminiscing sweet times and smile on the past .
My dad was a person with extreme acknowledged and veritable integrity. He was involved in ultra secretive advanced defence security operations and enjoyed superlative powers .He also knew that he was under constant survillance by the agencies of Government of India per established protocols. Agreed that he was secretive on the absolute scale .He never revealed his position and doings till his end .But on correlation of three facts two of which I happened to extract from his subordinate after more than 15 years after he left I figured out that he happened to head a high profile secret project to success and that too just because of my engineering knowledge and background. Such persons were labelled by Mr Modi as ANAMICA who died unsung without benefits and accolades .I have come across such dedicated persons in different projects who will leave or would have left unsung despite immense contributions. I never saw my father even go for a movie or watch any movie or soap on TV .
