Naval alliance’s is different than Army alliance’s… Naval alliance’s lead to themes of economic cooperation and possibly scientific advances… Army alliance’s is more likely themes of war and imperialism. Themes of imperialism would go against India’s interests because India has been a victim of Imperialism in the past. Thats why it’s obviously in India’s best interests to have naval alliances over Army alliances. Why else would there be nuclear power plants be built with Russia? I think the nuclear power plants being built and an only at sea naval alliance represents India’s desire to still have their Industrial Revolution but in a way that is responsible to the environment which is also beneficial to India anyway because of rising sea levels. For India, building more coal power plants is the equivalent of metaphorically shooting oneself in the foot.
