I love that you have clear opinions and viewpoints about the designs. Also, you are so randomly hilarious that there is never a pattern collection review video where you don't make me bust out laughing at least once. 😆 Thanks for being you!

I'm a sucker for that 1970's flared a-line dress with the collar and button placket too! It looks like something Mia Farrow would have worn in Rosemary's Baby. I just cut my hair into a pixie style for spring so now I've got to have the matching dress!
That's a good idea to use that duster shirt/jacket/robe over spaghetti strap/tank tops for in-between seasons. This one looks very nicely drafted too, with the lining and bust shaping. I made one up years ago that was just rectangles but I never wore it because it was always sliding out of place. This one looks like it would stay where it's supposed to be. Last week we had our first spring weather in MN with day temps in the 70's but evenings got down to the 40's - perfect for a duster over a little top.
Today is rainy and cold but I'm having a blast listening to videos and sewing sun dresses!

The sheer blouse/duster whatever is inspired by Daisy and the Six, and would look great over a tank top. At 73, nobody sees my tummy button.

Really wish the pattern companies would put all the finished garment measurements on the envelope and not inside. It makes it hard for those who have to order patterns online without finished garment measurements available.

Mimi g 9740 is a nursing dress I had in 1979. It was double knit and lasted a decade

I totally agree with you on that box pleated through on dress is a WINNER!!!
The pants with centre front and back seam is perfect for my daughter with a curvy backside.
The pants with the interesting front pleat would be great in a tencel/ blend for the drape xxx

Hi 😀 a convertible collar doesn't have a stand. The spread collar just means it lays open a bit . More relaxed look. Hope this helps. It's OK if you don't like a certain style say like the one shoulder. Listening to Designer Justine Laconte a body type of apple looks good in asymmetrical designs.

21:01 OMGee...they're bringing back the 40s. I wasn't born then, but I'm pretty good at identifying the decades in fashion. And then these crop tops...I'm 66 and I recall begging my mom to let me make a crop top with some bell bottoms. "No," was the answer. I was like 16. Well that was when I could have gotten away with showing my midriff. ..I was so skinny...no bulges...flat as a pancake. While some "not as cropped tops" that are also roomy in front...not too tight...can be attractive for those of us who are not so skinny or flat anymore...what they're showing on these cropped tops are strictly for the very lean and very young IMHO.

I’d love to see the S9742 with color blocking. I think it would give the bodice a “bustier over a button up” look. A little more modern.

It's not a boring collection at least, but I'm not rushing out to pick up any patterns in the last few collections. Hoping for some good Butterick patterns soon. Their last collection was fall. Thanks sew much for another excellent video.

Sometimes New Look has a catalog number for sizes 6 - 16 and then the same design can be found in plus size under another catalog number.😊

I was a teen during the 70's, so I'm an expert on what people wore. We did not wear those dusters in the 70's. The shapes are similar to our 70's dresses, but no dusters.

I love the crop top, pants, shorts, skirt pattern! I love that it doesn't have a waistband. I'm going to try to hack it to be high waisted. And I think it'd be super cute in tweed for fall. Thanks for your reviews!

Do you still sew with the babylock brilliant? I was curious your opinion on the machine? I have had one for a year and I hate it! No matter what the tension always appears to be tight (bobbin thread showing on top) and i even brought it in to the dealer and it was a huge waste of money $160 not to fix it

Why don't pattern companies say where the waist hits in the description? It's often hard to tell in the photos/diagrams but it's the first thing I look for.
The Jean pants/skirt and polo dress are my favorites. Thanks for the in-depth look at all of these!

Hey Lindsey, I've got a men's Green Pepper multiple pocket fishing/utility vest pattern that I'm never going to make. I'd be glad to send it to you for your sewing school. It's got TONS of pockets & features so it will be a nice project for someone who's into well-made utility clothes. Let me know where to send it and it's yours.

I've seen that limey yellow on the runway. You'd have to be very confident to wear it, however I didn't like it on that pattern. That seemed like a dated skirt look. There's a dress or two that looks good

vikisews has a polo dress very similar to the mimi g, just with different sleeves. this collection was very not for me, which is fine. i do feel like i'm getting whiplash though with the direction they are going with the designs. remember just a few years ago when simplicity was like the eileen fisher of the sewing world? now they are channeling Britney Spears circa 2001. it's kind of bizarre.
