      I suggest you to rewind the video and listen carefully to what has been said.
      These people has been fishing this way in centuries for their own needs. People of Kerkennah survive thanks to the sea. Always did. unfortunally there are not so many other options. No industry and no tourism.
      What changed and contributed to the lack of fish are the trawlers, the pollution provoked by the oil industry and the ghost fish nets lost by fishermen around the mediterranean sea that happens to show up on the shores of Kerkennah.
