The reason why the freezer method is not as strong is Bc it’s not as concentrated as the stove top method: the alcohol not only boiled off when you used the stove top, but you also evaporated more when the lid was off. If you did the same w the freezer method to evaporate some of the alcohol, it would be just as concentrated.

The freezer method gives more mg of THC than the stove top method. At first after watching Part 1 and now Part 2, I thought that the best method was the stove top, but then I realized that the only reason that it is "more potent" is because it is just more concentrated from the stove top method than the freezer method. From what I can see from the final amount of liquid left from each process it looks like the freezer method produced close to 7 ounces of final product and the stove top produced about 3.5 ounces. Doing the math, I come up with 1775.9 mg of THC from the freezer method and 1466.15 mg THC from the stove top. That came from there being 29.5 ml/ounce of liquid and doing the math 29.5ml/ounce x 7 ounces x 8.6mg/ml of THC = 1775.9 mg THC. It seems that you lose more THC during the heating process on the stove and less from the freezer process. And if you wanted to make the freezer method "more potent", just leave it out with no top on until the alcohol evaporates to your desired mg/ml or just use it as is and use the correct volume in your recipes. Please check my thinking here, am I wrong?

Very nice to actually see some real numbers instead of a bunch of talk. Amazing videos thanks

Could the freezer method be the more effective process if you reduced the liquid in the same manner afterward? (meaning, if you reduced both formulas down to the same volume using heat, would the one that was stored in the freezer first be more potent?)

The hot one didn't really get any more potent leaving it out. It's the same amount of thc total in the jar just in less liquid.

    Love the video

It makes absolutely no sense to evaporate the alcohol. You are removing ALL shelf life from the tincture and you are not gaining anything as you have evaporated off half of the liquid. So in truth it is probably weaker. All you have done is concentrate the THC by removing liquid from the tincture by evaporation. Plus now your tincture is pretty much just water with no alcohol left in it. This will spoil in a day at room temp and maybe 4 or 5 days in the fridge (if you are lucky).

I had moved on from of these videos, kind of working off of knowledge I could glean on the web and going my own way. Wish I had caught this the day you dropped it, could have saved myself some heartache and headache. You are approaching this in a great, clear, clean, and forward way. I'm a new fan, please keep doing what you're doing. It's awesome and thank you.
