I currently have a circa 1971 Linden Mantel Clock being rebuilt by my local horologist. Has the same problems as your mantel (bracket) clock at 1:43. Someone oiled the hell out of the clock movement and the thing seized up. I hope to inherit my Grandma’s Bulova mantel (bracket) clock one day. Was given to my grandpa in 1985 as a recognition gift from the company he worked at. Has beautiful chimes.
Beautiful clocks. I have a Thomas Tompion Mantle , and Howard Miller Jennison wall clock. Soon I hope to buy a Howard Miller Diana Grandfather....Like you, I love mechanical clocks. Thanks for sharing!
I wish my family and I will start collecting clocks too.
Congratulations on your clock collection.
lovely.. i love vintage clocks too. my best friend is buying me more from edinburgh and manchester. She's back in 2 days .... cant wait

im so glad to know there is other clock fiends in the world! My collection drives my wife crazy too!
33Fastcar AKA: Brian I've since added a Swiss chalet cuckoo clock. Took a while for my wife to let me mount it.
: D
Tkrtomm you should add a musical cuckoo to your collection. They are beautiful and the musical movements sound wonderful
Really beautiful clocks
I have a Howard miller 612-436 Thomas Tamton circa 1985, the older production units have a hermle 1050-020. Newer production units have a keininger movement. Early production units have Roman numeral dials. Mine doesn't have Roman numerals. I also have circa 1977 Seth Thomas Legacy 3W and circa 1970/1980 Jauch Time and strike mantle clocks.
really nice collection of mantel clocks. i just purchased a hermle that looks just like yours that does not have the movement, only mind has a silver disc in the center. looks like the same case. such a beautiful sound. amazing.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful mantle clocks. The chime on your floor clock is impressive!
drummerspenc I think the grandfather clock was feeling neglected and just wanted attention.
: D
Nice collection. Born in 1970 as well and love mechanical clocks. I especially like those made by Sligh. Have yet to personally meet anyone else with the same affinity for clocks. They drive my wife crazy too. Looks like you are into aquariums too. Maybe we are related 🤔
Beautiful!
Great collection. I wish I could find a key wind that plays the Ava Maria but I’m having a difficult time finding one.
Thanks for the video, you have a very nice collection, I particularly like the Thomas Tompion.
Thank you sir. I also have a Gilbert mantel clock from 1906. I'll be making a video when I have a chance.
You have some nice clocks.
I have the same howard miller clock at 2:58 chimes sound beautiful
lovely!
How to say that the Thomas champion one that was doing the winning sunshine sounds very pretty and one day when I learn how the wind clocks I would love to get a Thomas champion one that sounds as good as yours
I love mantel clocks too. Especially the 3 that works. The presidential one is pretty but I love those what I call the big share shape ones with the handle on the top. My favorite out of those 3 is the Thomas Thompion. I want one exactly like it.
The ones with the handle on top are called mantel clocks. I've also heard them referred to as bracket clocks.
Thanks for watching.
Thank for our reply. You're right because the ones with the handles are referred end to as bracket clocks. Funny I thought the ones that has the tempus fugit and or moon phase were bracket clocks but didn't know e ones with handls bu no tempus fugit and moon phase were bracket clocks too. The other 2 sun beam and Howard miller are often called hat clocks or tambour mantels. Cool clocks you hav.
+UraniumForce9000 Yes I did get a movement and chime rods. It has a beautiful sound that I can best describe as soft or petite. I'll try and make a video soon.
+UraniumForce9000 I finally made a video of the Howard Miller Webster Presidential.
Take a look if you'd like.
btw.. i am all the way from kuala lumpur, Malaysia. Rick.
2:57 that was timed perfectly
when the Ridgeway chimed, my alarm for 6 PM went off like at the exact same time. it was funny
I don't know very much about the Hamilton clock but I do know the movement is standard to the wind up Westminster chimes mantle clocks
nice Mantle clocks. they can be worth a lot of money.
Whittington 2:21
St Michael's 3:33
Westminister low pitch 4:27
Westminister high pitch 5:16
You're lucky you have the Howard Miller Thomas Tompion and the presidential clock. Those can be very expensive
Clock TV They can. :( The Samuel Watson is actually less expensive than the Thomas Tompion.
that grandfather clock has the same chimes as mine
The Samuel Watson is my 2nd favorite Mantel Clock
The first clock I’ve ever seen was an Emperor Grandfather Clock built by my grandfather in 2006 but the kit was from around 1996-97.
if you can make videos of them chiming, that would be awesome
Which clocks are set to Westminster chimes? Please tell me!!!!!
I’ve got 2 mantle clocks smiths Westminster and a smiths Enfield coming
what time can you do the San Michel chime cloud do that and what is the halitmon clock chime call i do not know what it is
Interesting about Hamilton branded clocks. A company did have the rights to the Hamilton name, at one point. Just guessing it's possible some company was using that name for their mantle clocks. Be curious about that. Hamilton stopped being a factory in the US in 1969, and it's operations were in Switzerland after that. But it seems like the name was sold off, in the 1970s. There's a current line of Hamilton wristwatches, keeping the name alive, if perhaps not the spirit :)
What quartz clock was going off with the thomas thompian
The model number for the Samuel Watson is 612-429
You should get a bim bam mantle
Can you tell me: Which year it is made the second one with Arabia number?
I have 3 hamilton mantle clocks and a ridgeway but yours are slightly different models
Do you still have the Samuel Watson and the Thomas Tompion?
Yes I still have them. Unfortunately they are currently packed in a semi truck on the way from CA to TX. Work is relocating me and the clocks won't be unpacked till early October.
:'(
can turn sun beam to mechanical if you can
I think the guy who fixed my watch or fix his all my watches he has or had a Hamilton in his store and I think he had a Ridgeway right next to right next to it but I would love to learn how to wind one of those ones and I think
I see that xmas tree
is the Howard miller nelson grandfather clock set to Westminster chime's? Please tell me!!!!
Hi i have a question. I found an old Howard Miller Thomas Tompion wooden mantle clock , or thats what it says when i looked it up (probably wrong), but it has been torn apart. The clock has been removed leaving only the box. Im a crafter and i buy unique pieces from thrift shops and turn them into unique home decor. This piece fascinates me and i dont want to tun it into something else without finding out if these are still being made?
The Thomas Tompion is still being produced by Howard Miller. Ebay is also another source for used ones.
: )
Can I have the Howard Miller Samuel Waston triple chime mantle clock please?
Do you have all them still?
He probably does. But I don’t think he wants to sell any of them.
if the sunbeam has chimes can you do a video of it?
No chimen on the Sunbeam. It's a typical quartz movement. I keep it for sentimental reasons.
I just uploaded two more videos. take a look at then if you'd like.
Can I have the Samuel Waston and webster and thomas tompion mantle clocks please for £0?
I'm selling my father's mantel clock collection if anyone is interested
Thats grandfather clock
Soulless clock lol
I guess I'll 'chime' in here also. I also am a collector: Mantle clocks, wall clocks, anniversary clocks, one grandfather clock. 35 in all. They all chime! Sounds like church is ready to begin at the top of each hour! It's fun :-) ~♡~
