    Well at last, a clear concise explanation of how to join cords. You make it look so easy, lets hope that I find it so, as I have a very important project in hand. Many thanks.

    Thank you so (sew) much for this wonderful tutorial. My first attempt was not nearly as lovely as yours, but it sort of came together. No one will ever care. Practice makes perfect so I'm sure my next one will be better thanks to you.

    Excellent video. Thank you so much for providing this big gem of assistance. I just partially completed 4 throw pillows because I couldn't figure out how to join to two ends of the cord without ruining the look of the pillows.

    You made that look easy! I don't think it works on all cording types though. Sadly, mine became a hot mess. I taped and sewed but the rayon threads would not stay wrapped around their cores. What made it difficult was they were wrapped in the opposite direction from how the twist cord was wrapped. So if I tried to follow the colors and wrap around each other, it was unwrapping the loose threads around their cores. I think for me I wish I would have not cut so much of the edging off and just flattened about 1/2" inch not worrying about color order, etc. I would love to see a video of how to handle a more difficult case or inferior cording ;-)

    I'm reupholstering our dining room chairs and the cording is not on a strip of fabric. How do I keep it from unraveling so I can glue it in place?

    ??What did you clip at the very beginning of this video?? Good tutorial but I wish you had used the overhead camera throughout. The tape is in the way of what you are doing.

    What type of machine do you use for cording?

    • @rowleycompany1
      @rowleycompany1  Před 7 lety

      Any straight stitch machine will work. It’s best to have a cording foot in the same size as the decorative cording but a skinny (zipper) foot also works well.
