🔹 TOP 5 Fastest Checkmates in the King's Gambit - • TOP 5 Fastest Checkmat...
In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares with you 5 killer chess tricks to win fast in the King's Gambit, which is one of the most aggressive chess openings for White after 1.e4 e5, where White plays 2.f4. It works tremendously well for blitz games.
The main advantages of the King's Gambit are that it's very aggressive and is full of traps. Most of your opponents are unfamiliar with these opening variations and therefore it gives you a great edge in the opening stage.
Watch the full video lesson and learn how to launch a quick attack against the Black's king in different variations of the King's Gambit, including the King's Gambit Accepted, King's Gambit Declined, the Fischer Defense, and many more.

Can you say something about an immediate attack by the queen even before the white knight had time to reach f3, the queen immediately attacks H4,
What is the answer to that?

Igor please do some more videos on games of great players like Fischer, Kasparrov, Tal, Morphy in Openings like the Kings Gambit or Ruy Lopez please 🙏 😀 😉
Thanks for suggestion 🙏
Hey GM Smirnov, first I want to thank you for taking the time to make these videos. for some reason I love your teaching methods the best. Matter of fact you helped me win 1st place in my very first tournament I attended last year. anyway, im hoping you see this comment, just wanted to let you know that the stockfish videos, with the AI bot talking im PRETTY SURE is copying and remaking your videos (unless its you on a second channel, which is genius, lol) the one titled "crash everyone with this unique kings gambit opening, preferred by stockfish" is almost word for word the same as your king gambits video. it says the exact same things you do and I noticed it because you mentioned the joked about your opponent trying to capture your queen but they can't and are seeing the little red square showing them they are in fact in check....and that video says the exact same thing......just hoping someone isn't stealing your content. and its not recognizable because its in the "AI Voice". have a wonderful day and again, thanks for all you do sir. EDIT- im 100% positive they stole your video if its not your channel, because they use almost the EXACT WORDING aside of a few words here and there
This is exactly what I needed for my kings gambit arsenal
Thanks for sharing 👍
Great lesson, Igor.
Awesome!
Gracias.!!!
I think Igor took inspiration from my comment to one of his previous vids. Nice work, Quaade trap is real gem.
Thank you
I love this gambit 🙂
05:15: "Black needs to accept the gambit". Wrong! Black can destroy White with the Falkbeer Counter Gambit! Igor: You did make a video about it, remember? It actually works! The last game, when my opponent tried the Kings Gambit on myself, lasted 7 moves till checkmate. Thanks for that other video, but 2... d5 should definitely be mentioned here as well as an answer to the Kings Gambit. More than 40 years ago, when I was a kid, my opponent found out about it within days of me playing the Kings Gambit myself. We were not in a chess club, there was no internet and we were both totally new in chess. So, I assume, these days, Kings Gambit players will encounter this also very soon - latest, when they want to cross the line from a 3 digit to a 4 digit rating.
I was surprised there was no Falkbeer Counter Gambit shown
but Falkbeer Counter Gambit is not the end of the world for white is it?
@@MillionaireRobot Probably not, but nasty enough that I stopped playing the Kings Gambit. I heard of others, who also quit playing Kings Gambit for the same reason - the Falkbeer Counter Gambit.
Do not use Kings Gambit for White
It always loses
Black plays P x P
White Plays N-KB3
Then Black plays B-K2
Question if your opponent comes out with white E7 and his next move is f4 how would you defend that opening and if he has black it's d7 and c4
Great lesson!
Thanks! 😃
1. e4 e5 2. f4 d6 3. Nf3 Nc6 4. Bc4 Bg4 5. O-O Nd4 6. Bxf7 Kxf7 7. Ng5+ K anywhere 8. Qxg4 Nxc2 Is this not a problem?
It's not. In fact, after 7.Ng5+, the king MUST move to e8 in order not to allow a forced mate after 8.Qxg4 Nxc2. After 7... Ke7 8.Qxg4 Nxc2, 9.Qe6 is checkmate. Similarly, after 7... Kf6 8.Qxg4 Nxc2, 9.Qf5+ Ke7 (only legal move) 10.Qe6#. If 7... Kg6 8.Qxg4 Nxc2, the forced mate is slightly longer: 9.Qf5+ Kh5 (if 9... Kh6 10.Nf7#) 10.Nf7+ Kh4 (if 10... Qg5 11.Qxg5#) 11.g3#. On 7... Ke8 8.Qxg4 Nxc2, White has at least 9.fxe5 and 10.Nf7, hitting the rook on h8, though 9.Ne6 (hitting the queen, bishop, c7, and g7) followed by 10.fxe5 might be better.
"K anywhere" first the king only has one square that doesn't lead to immediate mate or losing the queen after Nxc2 and that's Ke8. Kg6, f6 and e7 immediately lose after Nxc2. So if Ke8 , Qxg4, Nxc2, the simple fxe5 opening up the rook and if Nxa1?? Rxf8+! Kxf8 Ne6+ wins the queen
Like your style
Really love your channel !
Glad you enjoy it!
good tactics
Nice moves
This are a really tricky moves😂😮
planning to play kings gambit for now on i used queens gambit from 500-800 nice opening
me: *plays king’s gambit*
opponent: *plays sicilian defense*
me: *r e s i g n*
I used the King's Gambit to gain a few hundred ratings points, but find it no longer works at my current level. Funny how certain opening tricks and traps work at specific Elo bands. Always entertaining content, of course, by GM Smirnov.
what elo are you at?
What elo are you at?
Polgar used it all the way to GM as her main weapon on her own account. Spassky used it to defeat Fischer numerous times in world championship matches. Unless you are Magnus Carlsen, you probably just haven't studied the opening well enough
what elo are you at?
@@MillionaireRobot Around 1200
I just lost to the Fischer variation. Looking for tips right now from your video.
It's if you made some videos what to do or avoid with all those traps.
nice video but evertime i play this, the second move from my opponent after he played E5, is bringing his knight on C6. never had one of your situations ^^
Beating patzers is my favorite pastime!
I always like the Fred Liver attack but it’s normally checkmate in 8 moves technically after the 7 move you probably should resign which is 100 percent accuracy
4:49 got me 💡
Time stamp :- 1:52
Question:- Bro what if black goes pawn to d4 and threatens our knight , instead of grabbing our pawn on e4 ?
I wanna ask too, like usually rating above 500 with move their pawn to d4 in this position
I am sure my opponent would be also watching this video 🤣🤣
hey so at 2:46, you how a checkmate, but couldn't a pawn or the queen attack the white knight?
Smothered Checkmate is the single most satisfying move in chess. Maybe checkmate with a pwn is close.
I got bored playing just to play so I hunt smothered mates now. Kings gambit/jaenisch/Rousseau gambit. My F file is open 24/7
VERY GOOD GREAT STUFF, YOUR BIG CANADIAN FAN BORN IN RUSSIA
Responding e4 with b6 then attack with bb7, ?
What about that hanging pawn on c2
The only problem with these videos is we never get enough
what if the queen is moved and gives you check instead of taking the gambit
Why did you not take queen with the knight black time 8:13
What if second move they make it check with the queen
After look several time the italian stuff at 1000elo i crush !!!
Give me the time to look this one..... ❤🎉
What if black replay with strong D7-D5 ,D7-D6 actually looks weak for black
Do you also find that it works many times when you suggest moves to your opponent?
Like there is a trap if he moves b6. And I am like b6, b6, come on dude, it is a nice move, move to b6, b6 come on...
And then he moves b6 and loses.
Why does this work? :)
Kings gambit is the most dangerous chess open for both players. I love it because Paul Morphy loved it 😂
Feel good Chees trap..
😇
What if he pushes his pawn to d4 instead of taking your pawn on e4? 1:52
Move the knight to d5.😉. If he agains push pawn to c5 . Capture the f4 pawn 👌
if i could like this video more than once
I need to study more often. This is a great video and I always watch before starting my work in the morning.
D6 kills it dead every time.
Mm
What if instead of the night going to C6 he moves the pawn to D5, what to do then?
3:14
Your channel is very interesting and inspiring, but you're dismissing alternative lines so quickly. For example, at 07:08, after 9. ... Nh6 10. d4, Black can attack the knight through 10. ... d6, and take it after White takes on h6. Then the queen can no longer take on f7.
Or, at 07:30, after 9. ... Be7 10. Nxf7, Black can give check with the bishop on h4. If the queen takes the bishop, the king can take the knight on f7.
What happens when 2….Qh4?
watched the video let's now play a game with king gambit
I hope this can get me 1800 rapid and finally free me from being a 1700 rapid forever
Umm sorry moving the f pawn will be a mistake or an inaccuracy
But first time opponent played QR5check
Tell me variation
Keep sharing how to play chess like a pro👍
haha but bro in 4.15 what if black Nd4*C2 in while capturing bishop with queen
There are 40K views and he says your opponent won't know about it 😂😂😂
It works once in hundred
If I played chess, I would certainly try this
So you just watch opening strategy videos for a game you don't play?
@@MillionaireRobot I watch chess in general for fun
Time to start playing then 😊
D5?
U don't use kings gambit against that
What if opponent decides to check with queen and not take the pawm
Dear Igor. IS your cat okay?
05:10 Then our opponent can play Nc2 and we will lose a rook…
9:33 black bishop can come against white bishop. problem solved
These gimmicks seldom work in practice.
😶😶
You are my idol😊😊help me!
Generally speaking…
interesting 😀😀@GMIgorSmirnov

In my experience- never treat a KG (white) player with respect. They fear counter attacks; they hate to defend. On Lichess anonymous, many of them simply quit and run away when faced with the Falkbeer Counter Gambit. And if you play the Cunningham defense, only the (relatively) strongest ones survive for more than 28 moves. I am not a very strong player, and my opponents are usually also not too strong. Otherwise, things might have been different.
hey guys pls hope me win in tournament chess. 11 hours more and tournament start
It's hard to play if you're a slow learner.
I DON'T FUCKING UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU SAYS BRO YOU JUST SAYS BLA BLA BALA.
Saying you just checkmated them when they had moves confuses me? I'm almost done watching these videos.
Maybe I just don't understand? I see everything going on, it's just when a game isn't finished out yet multiple choices available, how do you anticipate?
If you're talking about 2:45, it is a double check from the queen and knight (which means that the king must move). However, the only 2 possible escape squares, d7 and e7, are cut off by the queen and the knight respectively. That's why it is a checkmate
@@ohyeahohyeah1071 i appreciate it. I'll have to double check the info? I was just thinking that individual move was checkmate, though i maybe be wrong? I've just watched so many videos saying that's checkmate and yet there were options...?
@@ohyeahohyeah1071 we also never know what moves they'll make too...?
Wow! I have newer Darenth to Play Kings Gambit, but now You have showed me soo beautiful game for white! Thank a lot Igor! 😊👍♟
