That I think just was the effect of insonia of aang. They talked too at the same episode.
Nah that was just the part of the episode where Aang was hallucinating and Appa (big furry thing) and Momo (small furry thing) were arguing with each other and fighting
Still it is kind of ironic. While in the original everyone talks their dialogue was intentionally left out (except for the intro). But the talk between the animals was not replaced by the goofy mimicking. And that’s funny.
