I wonder what happened to the Cosmic Angel after completing Sonic's story with the chaos emeralds. (Because it doesn't blow up unlike the other stories.)
I played Sonic Advance on the Game Boy Advance after I got it begore Xmas. And it was December 2002. It was the first Sonic the Hedgehog game released on a Nintendo console with Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the GameCube, and was produced in commemoration of the series' tenth anniversary. The story follows Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy as they journey to stop Doctor Eggman from taking over the world. Controlling a character, players are tasked with completing each level, defeating Eggman and his robot army, and collecting the seven Chaos Emeralds. Development began after Sega shifted its focus to third-party software development, due to the poor performance of the Dreamcast console. Sega recruited Dimps to lead development, making the game the first in the franchise developed by the studio. While Sonic Advance follows a similar style of gameplay to the Sega Genesis Sonic games, certain concepts and designs were reused from newer games such as Sonic Adventure (1998). So many memories, I still have this on the Game Boy Advance and I still play it.
Fun game, I find playing as Tails makes this game pretty easy(because he can fly, which is why I always play as him getting the chaos emeralds). Besides, he makes mecha-knuckles' 2nd phase so EASY! He's so good at everything in this, part of why he's awesome!
TailsFan109 i've always found Tails to be basically easy mode on 2D Sonic titles honestly, with the ability of flight and swimming he can go almost everywhere except Knuckles only areas. He's basically just as fast as Sonic too, and isn't gimped in jump height like Knuckles is. And then when you get Super Tails in S3&K it just becomes overkill. The only exception is Sonic 2 where he's basically just a Sonic clone without the ability to go Super.
A1_Lil Thotaa I used tails to get through most of the stages fairly quickly though I'm no stranger to this game it proves more difficult in some cases then the more modern games I typically play like GTA IV

My friend and I were playing on our game boy advances, and this one kid came up to us and said, "What's so great about a game boy?" I told him, "You can play so many awesome games on it! The games on here are way better than mobile phone games!" But then he said back, "Those things look dumb. Go outside and play some sports, like football or something." At that point, I lost it. In my head, I was so mad, I just wanted to explode with anger. The whole reason I play video games and not sports is because sports are kinda boring. In video games, you can explore new places, travel to far away lands, battle vicious monsters, and so much more! It's like a book plugged into a TV when you think about it. But sports, on the other hand...you can't do ANY of that stuff! Now, I know your gonna say to me that you can go to different places and play against another team, but could you play against a team in the mushroom kingdom? How about hyrule? Dream land? Mute city? Onett town? NO! You can't! Sports don't have a very magical feel to them, unlike video games.

If Sega still make consoles and portables in the early 2000's, they could've made that portable game into the Nomad and a Genesis at a same time since Genesis and Nomad were both 16-bit. Also, the graphics would've been different too as the other port like the GBA.

Question: I began playing this today, and I read that you require Sonic to beat all the levels (aside from the emeralds) to get the true final stage, so is it worth going through with every character till you get all seven or it's doable with Sonic himself? And in that regard, beating the levels individually with anyone else then blasting through the game with Sonic afterward?
+Israel Romero Editing my previous incorrect comment: Anyone can get the emeralds. You do have to beat the game with all four characters and get every emeralds at least once (you don't have to get them with all characters, or even all of them with one character; you can have one character get three and everyone else get two each, or any other combination). So you get all emeralds, then beat the game with all characters, then beat it with Sonic again, and that takes you to the bonus level.
Um, I know you have to play the game as all characters, and get all the Chaos Emeralds... but do you need to get all the Emeralds AS all characters, or can it be spread out over the characters? Or just need one character to do it all? I'm still confused here. But it's cool how you showcased all the characters.
Oh so the bonus rings lead to golden Sonic? Why is he golden? Is he super Saiyan? This game is my youth, I remember that I won all stages and the final too. But Amy couldnt. Tried bonus rounds too but I couldnt catch these rings, going towards them but couldnt reach them. So happy I could renew my youth
And I've been playing this game for ages and ages and ages though I barely touch it nowadays and stuck on the same level with one character that being the notorious tails
