I love how they show the bride more! I guess this must be her home
thanks for the awsome video!
I loved this ride when i went to there... love how they got Vincent Price to do the Phantom's laugh.. makes it even more creepy hehe
They originally got him to do the Phantom's dialogue, too, but they were all like "Nuuu, not creepy enough".
Actually, the real reason was due to France's fear of the Americanization of their country. They thought there was too much English spoken on the rides, so they nixed Price's English narration with a totally French one. I guess that's fair. I mean...I would feel miffed if I went to Disney in Orlando and all the rides were in Spanish...
Even better, because he did all the lines originally, the phantom has a 10,000 dollar laugh!
So they kept some elements like his laugh but not the dialogue?
jojockful007 yep. The laugh is the last trace of Price’s original VO left in the ride. Price’s fee for the recording session was 10,000 dollars. Combine that with the fact that the laugh is the only part of the recording still in use, and you end up with the Phantom having one expensive chuckle. But hey, I’d pay 10k to have a character in my haunted house have Vincent Price’s laugh.
Amazing quality as always ❤️
The french Ghost Host is amazing.
what is he saying?
so nice
Is the low lighting what shows her face really well at 4:04? Because I don't ever recall seeing her face that clearly lol
Your kicking ass dude 👍🏼 great video!
I like how scarier this one is compared to the American ones. But it hasn't got good functionality though
1-800- help jimim find his jams the entire part after the ballroom scene is completely different
Well sir from 2 years ago, you'll be pleased to know that the animatronics are even better now...we just got a more confusing plot
I never experienced Phantom Manor. I only ride the 2 Disney Haunted Mansions in the United States. So I rode the refurbished PM, followed by this one thanks to CZcams. This one has scarier music, and the lesssr props seem very eerie. The refurb seems more alive. Both seem great for what they are
The soundtrack is better than the American version.
I always wished that the premise of this particular version of the Haunted Mansion would become a movie. Have it connected to a Big Thunder Mesa movie that precedes it and sets it up.
very good ride
Great footage! It just seems like Paris' version of The Haunted Mansion seems less child-friendly.
But of course, I've personally only been to WDW...biased a little bit.
I Like it.
I Like it.
j'aime
Loved those dead pixels
Appreciate the video though
Sounds like DLP needs to invest in some good ol WD-40 lol. Great video!
I was not expecting Hopes And Dreams at the end, that was unexpected, lol
Undertale?
It's very rare to have these kind of rides now as it's so easily that it can catch fire due to overload of props just like what happened at Thorpe park years ago with the wicked witches haunt ride.
wow amazing
Trivia: Marc Davis, one of the original Disney animators,as well as one of the creators of the Haunted Mansion, experienced this ride before his passing...he didn't care for it.
Hey,like they say,you can't please all the people all the time.
That's not too surprising considering that during the development of the original Haunted Mansion, he wanted the entire ride to have a comedic tone, with little-to-no frightening aspects.
While I love the different versions, a discerning eye notices the details in the ballroom are not as refined, the attic truncated, the western town is amazing and I can never see enough detail in the videos of it. It is tough to have no narration through the ride. Disney World's version... from youtube videos seems the best by a smidge.
Can you do a vid like this for Raging Spirits and the full queue at Tokyo DisneySea
how much do the park cost with the air tics
Wow! What's your camera?
well I've been on it
While I wouldn't trade the original version at Anaheim for anything, I must say this iteration of the Mansion attractions is without the most detailed and immersive, though I do disagree with the "decrepit" look on the outside as Walt was opposed to it. What are you using for low light? My guess would be a Sony A7S or Panasonic GH4 judging by the video quality
The ''decrepit'' look on the outside was necessary because if it was beautiful on the outside like in Anaheim people would get confused, because at disneyland Paris a lot of people from different countries visit like people from; The Netherlands or Spain. They all speak different languages so to avoid people going on the ride with small children they went with a more scary look on the outside.
Horooorrrrr
Can you pls do everything again with a steadicam attachment
Awesome! Question, what do you think about the Sony A7S II? I might be purchasing that camera. Would you suggest it?
it is a great camera :)
it is a great camera :)
it is a great camera :)
LMG Vids I'm most concerned about filming things like Space Mountain, would it look good? And can you just remind me what camera you use? Since the A7S II is a little on the expensive side.
actually all us POVers use the a7sii for videos :)
My apologies, but it turns out that the reopening has been delayed. Now they're saying it will reopen around May 11.
can someone tell me how much those it cost to go
I will tell you a secret about this attraction pause it at 8:09 and you'll see behind the wooden coffin a little dead animal it's a real cat corpse
That's just messed up.
Oh ok.
パリのホーンテッドマンションは本気のホラーなんだね
Uuuuuuuuuuh.
7:32 looks like Elder Gutknecht from Corpse Bride
I noticed your camera has a couple of dead pixel. Can see the blue pixels at certain moments when the colour area around the pixel is dark.
I don't get the "Western" theme at the end of the ride, must go along with the story line of this particular version. Wish the graveyard figures were more animated.
Laurel J. The phantom manor in Paris takes a larger role in the story of the entirety of Frontier land. A large Pest roamed the area killing most people, and given that Frontierland is a westerny-area, they wanted to show that the surrounding cities were deserted as well.
It's representing the under world of Thunder Mesa from when the earthquake knocked it down and killed a bunch of people.
Me: *realizes Save the World is playing at the end* ASRIEL!!!
Storybook Ga
Oof, I thought it was Hopes and Dreams.
Same thing-
People shut it. Let yourself be in it
Kenneth Desmond Mosley You shut it.
0:43 just if you want to know how the trick is done
a light is shined from the other side aft that gives the affect
It's actually an elevator going down.
PackageIsHere yes that makes the room stretch I mean were you can see through the sealing
I think I know what you're talking about, The ceiling is basically a stretchy fabric where you cant see through when all the lights are lighting the outside of ceiling but if all the lights are lighting inside of the ceiling you can see what's going on.
Time this.
What makes this ride creepier is that a worker was electrocuted to death in this ride
Múzeá
They stole the elevator thing from Europapark in Germany :/
The elevator effect is reused from the Haunted Mansion over at Disneyland in California which opened in 1969 :)
I'm guessing you're talking about Matterhorn Blitz, right? Phantom Manor and Matterhorn Blitz use very different technologies from one another XD
LMG Vids I think Ginny means the ride in Europapark called Geisterschloss. It also has the stretching room. But yes, it was originally used in the haunted mansion
It's nothing special. I don't recommend it
What are you talking about? It's one of the best rides at Disneyland Paris.
