Great video Bill.
Hello Phil, thank you so much. Stay in touch.-Bill
Thanks for the shout out Bill! Was neat to get that. I have the same stump grinder and have ground down 1000’s of stumps with it. Woodland Mills makes a great product. Thanks for bringing the music back! I told my son about the request and he got a good laugh.
You’re very welcome! Glad you enjoyed the shout out. Stay in touch -Bill
Very relaxing to watch
Thanks Gary. I find operating the tractor to be relaxing also.-Bill
Jeff from WV here. I'm waiting on delivery of mine and your vid has been very helpful in what to expect and watch for. Thanks!
Hi Jeff, congratulations on your purchase of the grinder, your going to love it. Tip: be patient and take small bites as you learn. Stay in touch -Bill
Great job Bill. Always good to see real world usage of cool tools!!
Thanks Dan 👍 Happy holidays my friend. - Bill
Great video I’ve had one of these stump grinders for several years. I grind stumps for higher, and I grind a ton of them couple of points of observation. The grinding wheel needs to be plumb in the video. It looks like it’s tilted with the top of the wheel away from the tractor you can fix that by tightening up on your top linkalso make sure to keep your sway links, extra tight. I ended up adding a jam duct on both of mine and I keep extra parts to my sway link on hand. It’s a great machine my most profitable attachment best of luck, Woodland, great folks to do business with I live in West Virginia.
Hi Dan, thanks for sharing your real world experience with this grinder!!!. I never though about adjusting the top link. I sure enjoy getting back to West Virginia once in a while. Happy holidays my freind - Bill
I can't wait for the next one Good job Bill
Thanks Mark!!

Awesome!!! Im from that area, lots of roots there……
Jeff from Jane Lew here too!
Hi Bill, Watching your video sold me on the Woodland Mills stump grinder. I have the John Deere 2038r like you and looks like a good match with the grinder. Ron LaPorte, Minnesota.
Hi Ron, so happy to hear from you. Yeah, I'm very happy with the stump grinder, it's a beast.-Bill
Good job Bill. We have a lot of stumps here on our property in West Virginia. But unfortunately most are on hillside where i can't get my tractor 😮
Hi Dean, have a great holiday season. Thanks for saying hello -Bill
Like your videos. What part of Iowa are you from. I was born and raised on a farm west of Centerville near a town of Jerome. Keep up the good work.
Hi Keith , I’m near Dubuque. I like this area a lot. I found your town on the map. Haven’t been down that way.
Happy holidays-Bill
Bill awesome stump grinder, great video.I watched a video of someone they mounted a camera back of there tractor and a screen up on there dash. Don’t know how much you are stump grinding but it could be good for anything back there. Just a idea you might like or just for backing up to something. Doug from PA. 👍
Hi Doug, yeah this grinder can be a sore neck in the making.
Enjoy the holidays my friend. -Bill
Hello bill! I have a land pride gr1525 3pt stump grinder for my jd 4066r that works awesome also.
Hi Dave, Merry Christmas, you can’t go wrong with a Land Pride product! Enjoy your holidays -Bill
I have the same grinder and tractor i took the quick hitch off and brought the grinder closer to the tractor reduced the swing of the grinder with the hitch on it grabbed a hard spot in a stump and broke my sway link
Hi Ray, thanks for sharing those words of advice, much appreciated.- Happy holidays-Bill
Did you cut off any pto shaft ? with out the quick hitch it may be too long
Bill that sure is a nice attachment. I don't know if that could grind thru Missouri stumps or even rocks. I think a lot of them Iowa trees are soft pine.
Ha ha David, yeah….id like to stay out of the rocks. Happy holidays! -Bill
Wouldn’t you what the flywheel more vertical other than slightly tilted back?
Good morning Eggfueggfuu, you have a sharp eye. I agree with your observation. Chaulk it up to the learning curve. Thanks for taking time to say hello -Bill
It's very rocky soil here in Maine. Hitting some sizeable rocks will be unavoidable. Thoughts?
Hi Chris. My concern would be the machine throwing a rock causing a safety issue.
Depending on the rock size, what's your thoughts on damage to the machine? -Bill
Andrew reporting in from Texas. How's retirement treating you, Bill?
Hey Andrew, retirement isn't what I thought it would be, don't be in any hurry to get to it.
I've been wondering how things in Texas for you? That's a big change from the Pacific NW. Happy holidays buddy. - Bill
@billburkhart Definitely a change of life. Everyone is polite, respectful in the stores, slower pace of life. Just flat, hot, windy, and rain in drums rather than sprinkles. I do miss my fir trees and mountain views.
@andrewbrenneman9592 Is the inflow of immigration a problem where you’re at?
@@billburkhart nope.
Hi Bill, I noticed you didn’t use your hydraulic third arm on your three point with the stump grinder. Is there a reason you didn’t and did you have to cut the drive shaft on your 2038r ?
Hello Citabria5, good to hear from you. That video was shot using my buddies 2038. He doesn't have a Hydraulic lift for the top link. That may have been nice to have, as you pointed out.
Take care, and thanks for staying in touch.-Bill
