LegUp Jack Stand 2

This video demonstrates operation and use of the LegUp motorcycle jack stand. A small, lightweight aluminum, adjustable jack stand for carrying along on a ride or using around the garage for oiling chains and etc. It is intended to be used on dirt and adventure bikes. Can you elaborate regarding loosening the bolts? Is the idea that if you are using bolts connected to the engine casing that you should loosen them so the fixture connected gives way before the casing cracks?

I think he men's loosing the bolts you need loosened to remove the tire
