Hi, had to post again, so impressive, I have a soft-spot for the 08 over that of the P5/P6, it was Dave's first come back after 30 years after the P5 rev3, and he put his heart and soul into the P08! PS Please do offer us a sysex dump of your patches, happy to pay! ;)

whats funny is that none of the demos for other synths that i'm comparing are this beautiful and musical so it actually doesn't make for a fair comparison lmao. goes to show that it really is less about the synth and more about what you do with it

How did you go about sequencing and recording this? Do you have each track built in the daw and then record each part using midi? Super impressive demo, kudos!
👍 I play one track to midi and record it audio or record realtime playing straight to the audio. Then I usually pick up next patch and play next demotrack with same method or somerimes multitrack earlier if it somehow fits. There is single patches or multitracked parts. With P08 you can also layer or split sounds.
Do you sell or share these presets? Or are they available anywhere? Would be awesome, some of the best i heard so far from P08. Looking forward to an answer. Thanks! Lovely sounds!

Do you remember what oscillator settings you used for the pluck that starts at 17:37? Is that just two slightly detuned saws lowpassed, or something more complex?

Very nice - are those self made presets or from some other source? I also have a P08 - and was glad to get rid of the original knobs and replace with the shiny ones found on the Rev2 as well as replace the dodgy continuous encoders with the PE board.
Yes, you are right. I have also replaced all the ugly knobs and put the nice ones...Now the Prophet looks sooo nice...

would you recommend this synth as a first synth?
Why not if you like the sound. Interface is great but maybe I would recommend something more versatile like Novation Peak. Otherhand versatile can be more complex but Peak interface is pretty good too.
@@PanuMSavolainen Yes my only thing is this doesnt have very many tutorials on how to create sounds and approach it. Maybe I should get something more simple like a Korg Prologue?
