    Love these videos of Aria doing her thing! One suggestion is if you could dial down the music a little bit when there are good commentators talking about the race, that would be great! There were times when the music was loud enough I couldn't tell what they were saying at all

    That is amazing! If I read the 2023 Nike Outdoor National results correctly on the Athletic Live site, Aria you are now rated #74 in the US vs. all high schoolers in the 200M as an 8th Grader. As a fellow born and raised Kansan who was also a sprinter, I couldn't be prouder of your accomplishments -- as well as the type of fine, humble person you are growing up to be.

      I wonder if you could tell what position Aria Pearce's long jump is in. Looking up the world mark for 14 year olds, a distance of 17.50 was given. But she has a 17.55 long jump. Either I read the entry incorrectly or she has a world mark for the long jump for a 14 year old. I would appreciate knowing.

    Congrats! Another tool to add to her toolbox is competitor awareness & energy conservation in qualification trials, and learning to take her foot off the pedal in the trials when she has such a massive lead- thus conserving more energy for the Finals. This will become even more important in the future when competition is closer and she has to go through 2 or 3 races before reaching the finals.

      Ther High School Girl's 100m Natonal Record is 10.94 which is incredible.
      Aria' 1st Heat was .79 slower at 11.73 here.
      soooo, 6th place here is that far back of Aria. In super slo mo, 6th is a full 3 1/2 steps behind. Not that far on the watch.
      At 13:49, that is the track position as Aria crosses. Looks like 15 feet.

    • @michaeledwards2251
      @michaeledwards2251 Před 11 měsíci

      Its apparent Aria does conserve energy already. For example in the 100m she was following the pace of the field up to about 50m, about 12 seconds for 100m, then increased pace to 11.5 second per 100m for the last 50m.
      For the 200m she plainly enjoys straight out dominating. In the 200m final, emerging elite, her pace would have gotten her 5th place in the elite 200m dash.

The give away is the 100m, she ran 11.72 but to place well at one of college meets she ran 11.5. @Veggemattic. The music is ABSOLUTELY necessary. Duh! That’s to avoid being copyrighted. She doesn’t own the rights to the “broadcast” with the commentators. Loud music, or no video at all? Which do you prefer?

      @@frankiek2269the music is just dumb. Doesn’t do a damn thing but annoy! I’d rather hear the commentators only. But stupid man made rules, which exist only for self aggrandizement, have to ruin everything like always.

    Not bad off the block start acceleration, drive phase and into high top end speed. Mainly focusing and working on jump from out the blocks into that drive phase is the long sought after meal ticket key. 🔑 The potential in enough strength towards reaching and holding a high top end speed seems to be there. Steep hill sprints and training with the boys can help. Avoid the neighborhood girls of your age like the plague. Itd thoroughbred racehorse chicken filth. Search for a coach mentor.
