I think the Mystery of the Missing Mist might relate to the wet oily spot on the cardboard. đ Synthetic fog liquid can feel like that!
I think these toys are actually pretty cool, they sadly just look a bit cheap on the outside imo. I can imagine that it would be pretty fun though to maybe model on top of the base of the crystal ball (and maybe a bit on top of the wand) with apoxy sculpt and then give it a new paintjob to make it look REALLY magical!
While I always feel bad for Jackie when she spends all this money on things and they just make her salty...I really appreciate her reviews. I personally don't make a lot in terms of income, so these reviews really help me see what's worth getting and what's not; especially with Christmas coming around and two young nieces that would love toys like the mixie's.

@@renrensiren112 Grav3yardgirl reviewed this also, think she said the crystal ball can be used again to put other toys in or do the soft toy again but that was last month when she reviewed it & I had a lot of sleep since then to remember.
Yeah that was a positive thing with this ne she said that you could use it many times and hide other toys in the crystal ball. It looks more complicated though, you need patience.
The cauldron one seems way better, and you can get new spells to use with it. This one just seems super frustrating.
I find it so crazy when I hear of all these super expensive toys that people actually buy for their kids. Apart from a furby, I don't remember any super expensive toys that didn't have some kind of use. Like a toy camera or tablet that you could use for a while. 150 is a lot of money to spend these types of things imo.
sameee! Furbys were really fun, I had a furby boom and i really liked it, until it turned on in the middle of the night lol
@@babyportals123 my parents always resisted buying me those types of toys, which I'm actually pretty thankful for because I got stuff I used for years after, rather than once or twice. I had quite a few friends with furbies tho, and the noises they made were very questionable sometimes... Good memories though!

I couldn't agree with you more. Not only are these toys insanely priced but they simply are too difficult for most children. I have two granddaughters three and five and I can't even imagine having to spend all that time on Christmas morning fiddling and becoming frustrated while they're waiting to get their plushie. Much too many gadgets when you just have children who want to open their gift and start to play. This toy seems more suitable for a much older child otherwise the parents are making it do everything while the kids watch. The problem is the young ones see it on TV and get so excited that it's the only thing they ask for. Parents need to learn to say no and explain why. Sorry that was a little salty but I really don't like what I'm seeing happening with this pressure marketing directed at children. It seems the newest thing is releasing a cartoon along with a line of toys. Kids can't even enjoy their cartoon characters without wanting the toys to go along with it.
As someone who wasn't allowed to have any toys at all (besides like one stuffed animal) especially not something that made any sort of noise. Yes.

For that price tag I was expecting at least to have a sorta mechanism on the face, make the eyes blink or something at least or move a small mouth

These things are so cute, and I think the crystal ball is easier to replay compared to the cauldron since you don't need any replacement "ingredients" to recreate the initial experience. That said, they're *WAY* too expensive, and the sensor needs some work. I feel like it would be less infuriating (especially for small, less dexterous children) if the wand had different colored gemstone buttons instead of having you wave different patterns. You could still give want waving directions with the buttons for the magical effect, they would just be purely for the imagination of it rather than integral to actually using the toy. Ultimately I like it more than the first one, but it still seems like an overpriced toy for what it is. Skeptical cash, I suppose?

This reminds me of my Furby. It never did what I expected it to do, and it pissed me off so much as a child. Eventually, I locked it away in a closet.
Sometimes at night, I hear giggling coming from the closet though đ

the green and black one was worse than others. i had one of those furbys and had taken the battery out. it still woke up in the middle of the night. blinked and moved its mouth...this may be the reason i have trouble sleeping till this day lol
Jackie, you can also replace the mixie with a toy of your own and then redo the create mode over and over with your own toys without having to buy new mixes like last years. Also the night light mode will release more mist with the lights for a fun magical night light.
I dunno if I'd get one due to price point (I'd rather get a SNACK for the same price) but i do love the adorable fluff ball and the aspect of resetting it to do over and over again

For glue removal, use teatree oil or eucalyptus oil with papertowel or a teatowel. Then clean off once glue is gone with damp cloth

I'm pretty sure the liquid at the start is glycerin. The last Mixie toy used a water atomizer to make the fog from what I can tell. I'm guessing this one uses glycerin, which makes a thinner fog. It also smells worse.
I love Jackie because watching her videos calms me down and helps me sleep I fall asleep to her videos every night for almost two years and I love it when I open CZcams and I see she posted a new video I love you Jackieâ€

From what Iâve seen online, you can also use this crystal ball as a night light. I think they tried to make it more approachable with less ingredients and mess with this approach. Still cool, but I wouldnât spend this much on either toy. That said, I have collected a few of the Mixies themselves from thrift stores! I plan to customize one of them since I have a double. I did see you can also buy little figurines of various Mixie creatures, so thatâs cool and much more affordable!

Today at work I saw one girl brought toy catalog with her and she wanted to look at it and draw some of the toys. A bit later I went to check what was going on, since the three girls were giggling a lot, one of the girls said that she'd want the magic mixie cauldron because she's been seeing it on TikTok. After seeing this video, I like more the cauldron one. These types of toys are nice, but mostly single use only. I'd say it's a sceptical cash

Even I agree with Jackie on the âMagic Mixies crystal ballâ that Iâm not gonna try it but the original cauldron instead, which I still saw at my local Walmart store đ„°đ„°đ„°
Cute but annoying. The big issue, for me, is that once the plushy is out you canât use the crystal ball again. For 150$ it is such a huge waste.

You can reuse it. The platform goes up and down. You can re-reveal the mixi toy or put your own in it. You can supposedly refill the mist solution after the smoke stops. I'm digging through CZcams looking for solutions because mine won't smoke after refilling but all the other functions work over and over

I think the reason there wasnât much fog is because the fog juice (or whatever) leaked and thatâs why the box was also wet.
