  • If I could re-do bridal gown shopping, I would certainly go back in time and do a few things differently (like starting earlier, you knucklehead, Crystal!) If you're about to get married, these tips will save you a few headaches and make the process more efficient and fun.

Ma'am, I hope you are doing well in this pandemic. I wanted a small help if possible from your side. I have participated on an online Paegent, and they have asked for an introduction video. I have seem your previous video of how can we do it. My questions are as follows.
    1. What kind of outfits would be perfect for this?
    2. Is it okay to wear traditional clothes? I m from India so we usually have Saree or Salwar Kurta.
    3. If wearing traditional clothes the what should be our standing positions?
    4. My a very strict and a bold person hit also somewhere kind too, so while giving an introduction what kind of attitude will look the best?
    5. Is it okay to look, bold and kind at the same time in this video ?
If possible ma'am please answer this questions. Thank you ma'am.

Hi Falguni - there are not right or wrong answers to these questions - it's all about making decisions that most represent "you." Take all my feedback with a grain of salt since I'm just one opinion (and by the way, your judges will all have varying opinions most of the time) but to keep it short: 1) You look clean, stylish, presentable, and appropriate for where you are (ie no cocktail outfit if you're outside in broad daylight, implying it's the morning) 2) Yes, for the video, sure. It is your culture. It is you. 3) Well if you're onstage, the outfit should be a bit more glamorous and form-fitting if you're going to stand out among the other candidates. You don't want to be *too* out of the box though. The idea is to still fit the mold just enough so you don't come off *too* different but also stand out. It's a weird balance, I know, and kind of hard to explain without seeing photos of what you'll be wearing. 4) For your introduction, your personality will naturally come through. I wouldn't focus on being too this or being too that - but I'd recommend you speak as confidently, clearly, and with a 20% increase in your energy. Think news anchor when she's telling a funny story on TV. There's a lift and natural warm in her voice. Being in a good mode helps too. (Having a great hair day and feeling good about your makeup helps loads!) 5) Yes. It is totally possible to look strong, confident, kind, and like a leader all at the same time. Experienced judges tend to know it when they see it. It's a quality that's hard to reduce to words because everyone has their own style, charisma, and energy.
