    Love this vid, was very helpful as my 2018 Quattroporte was running too cool. I Got an off topic question Ron. Do you have a video of you changing the power steering fluid? If so can u reply with the link & what fluid you used? Thanks in advance.

    I just replaced mine. Check engine light is still on and now the temp fluctuates a lot more than I ever noticed as well as the fan seems louder and stays on longer after turning the car off.

    • @RonDIYMods
      @RonDIYMods  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Make sure you bleed the air out completely. Do the bleeding procedure a couple of time. To make sure the air is out. That can make the car run hot. Check coolant level. As far the check engine, you have to cycle the car a couple times and what I mean by that is the car has to cycle a couple of cold starts before the check engine goes off on itself or if you have an OBD2 reader, you can reset it then.

    I was wondering did you have to drain the radiator fluid entirely first? I assume you didn’t drain and had minimum fluid loss.

    • @RonDIYMods
      @RonDIYMods  Před 3 měsíci

      You’re right I did not drain. I just lost the fluid when pulling out the thermostat that’s it.

      The coolant temp sensor sits behind to the left side of the engine. Check out this link. Open up the diagram. It’s number 20. www.scuderiacarparts.com/part-finder/maserati/ghibli/oe/176/3827/67448

      No I don’t think so. My Ghibli has 78,000 miles before this thermostat when bad. It’s just routine maintenance.
