I think Big Hit supports Jikook's relationship, just see how jungkook and jimin are always in the same subunit these days & I know some people say fanservice but Taekook was the most popular ship, if they cared about the fanservice only they would have kept Taekook together, it would have been easier for them but they didn't, also the way Bang-PD has supported JoKwon and helped him come out , I think he will guide Jk and JM to do the same in future & also I m sorry if what I said makes no sense, I m quite new in K-pop world & BTS fandom💜

The concept of the series is really amazing as we get to see the ground reality of not only JIKOOK but every other member and the relationship that they have with each other.
It's important to focus on the fact that the ship JIKOOK was not formed in a day. It is important to realise how they have grown close to each other organically and to understand the difference between a relationship shared between best of friends and a relationship that goes beyond friendship..... 🌺

I'm very curious if Son was one who wasn't sure about Jimin. When asked by that BBC female interviewer, sitting in Dance studio: Who was the best dancer, he didn't hesitate + immediately said JHope (who's amazing) + had said Jimin was good at the stunts stuff (kinda not cool)?? If so, I feel it's cuz Son likes hip-hop most + favors JHope, but don't know, but I hope there's no favoritism, since both are min dancers..your thoughts?

The concept of this serie is amazing and it must be a lot of work for you to find everything and compile it together to go from all the way back to now. You're doing an amazing work. It can really help to understand more where jikook comes from, how their relationship evolved and how everything started beginning with their pre debuts day while considering the group and each members. That's amazing.
For Jimin as to why he almost didn't make it, he had said once I don't remember where he was too soft looking and didn't fit the hip hop concept the company wanted to go with. That's why some people in the company were against him debuting with bts. But in my opinion they would have regret it if at that time they didn't gave him his chance. And when you said Jimin must have worked the hardest to make it, Jungkook actually talked about it in Burn The Stage the serie, I don't remember which episode, but he talked about how Jimin was the trainee who trained the hardest, who put the most effort in.
Jimin talked about it in 2014 or 2015, I should find the video back but he did learned hip hop, popping and others dance style like that, but when he entered high school he entered as a top student in the dance department as a contemporary dancer and he trained really hard in both contemporary and ballet, people sometimes said he only trained for 2 years in theses style but when you know Jimin and how hardworking he is and how demanding theses discipline are you know he trained very hard and for a lot of hours per day so while practicing that much in contemporary and with the inner talent he have for dance he trained his body for theses specific styles so when he entered big hit as a trainee he once talked about it about how it was really hard for him because he had to relearn hip hop, his body was trained to do contemporary for 2 years so going from that training to going to hip hop was really hard for him because he had to break from contempo and relearn to do movements as hip hop so it's something which caused him a lot of issues while being a trainee because he struggled to do as good as the other members as good a J Hope, so it's one of the reason too as to why people in the company where against him debuting in bts and their criticism against him gave him the force and the courage to prove to them he could do it and he worked really hard to achieve it.
Sorry for the longass comments lol. I've known BTS and be an army since their debuts so I know a lot of things about them and their history and I basically saw them grow up and become the men they are today and I'm so proud of them and I'm happy you're doing this serie it'll help new army and army who came in the last few years to know more about them, where they comes from, their history how jikook's bond formed etc thank you for your hardwork :D

      @michellem6826 Před 3 lety +12

I think you made some strong points about the reasons for Jimin potentially not debuting with BTS, however, I think there may have been some other factors that may have been in play. These are some thoughts I have on this but they are not supported. Just my opinion. 1. BigHit was a small company struggling financially and without a lot of resources. If a lot of people did not think Jimin should debut for a core reason such as his ability to learn the dance or fitting the concept then why risk so much to have him debut and debut with key positions? 2. Jimin is hardest on Jimin. When Jimin criticizes himself I default to looking at other evidence to support Jimin’s thoughts. Usually it is Jimin’s perfectionist personality at play when he finds fault. Jimin is an explosion of talent and is extremely focused when wanting to improve. 3. Another point that makes me ponder is, if so many people had doubts why wasn’t he removed? I think one of the reasons may have been someone of influence and or power wanted him in the group. This person or persons felt BTS needed Jimin. 4. My next thought, again not supported but an opinion, is that I think he wasn’t fitting into the group. If you eliminate talent and quickly adapting to the concept, what is next? Group dynamics. Jimin, like all people, is complex so this is just a small facet of Jimin I am expressing thoughts on. I think everyone in BTS works hard. However, I think Jimin took it to another level. All the members have commented on how much Jimin worked in the early days. In American Hustle show Jimin teamed up with Namjoon to do the dance off. Namjoon blew off the practicing and you could tell that Jimin was not happy but Namjoon was older and he deferred to him. Also, the team with Suga, JK and V blew off their practice for the dance off. I think Jimin might have been pushing the members to work harder and that might have been a source of contention. Also, the members have repeatedly noted that V and Jimin would fight a lot. I think Jimin might have been pushing V and V wasn’t having it. Also, V and Jimin think very differently, (dumplings) and this would have caused issues. 5. Jimin isn’t afraid to speak his mind about things that concern him. 6. Jimin was a far better dancer than most of the group back then. (Not comparing Jhope to Jimin. Jhope is great.) This may have caused some issues. Think hierarchy not envy. 7 Jimin is very disciplined. Recall how they were all on a diet and Namjoon said Jimin never broke the diet restrictions or something to that effect when everyone else did. 8. There are other things I have speculated on but I have written enough for now. Bottom line is, I think dynamics played a big role on how JK and Jimin interacted in the beginning and how they fit in the group and the effect this had on their interactions with each other.

@@michellem6826 I think you got it right that one of the problems could have been the group dynamics considering that (if I remember correctly) V commented that just before debuting they called him and asked him about having Jimin in the group with them (and he said what he said) the point is that the question has nothing to do with his talent as a dancer or singer or anything like that, it was more personal... @@michellem6826 I only pointed out the dance part as to why he almost didn’t made it but yea of course we don’t know everything we in fact only know a little about their pre debuts day and I agree with you when you said it could have been because of dynamics. Jimin in AHA said how he was impulsive and a hot head and recently he said having his members besides him helps him a lot having people who will cover his shortcoming silently and things like that. So yeah I think it definitely had something to do too with the boys relationship with each other. Like seriously I always thinks how amazing it is that they could make it work. Like 7 total strangers having to live together seeing each other 24/7 and working together while having a huge pressure on them because they were trainee is amazing. They’re all so different and they were all so young but they made it work. So yea I’m sure dynamics between all of them played a huge role too. But I’m glad the 7 of them made it and debuted together and made it this far 😁

Also, when V said he was asked, he told the co that he wanted to debut w/Jimin, they were ALL asked to give their opinions..I don't think they physically told Jimin 8x he wouldn't make it - who would stay after 8 rejections? Ridiculous> Funny how he debuted as Main Dancer, Lead Vocalist (after JK) after those supposed doubts..Also RM was not just an underground rapper, but Producer +both he +Suga wrote for/produced with other rappers..RM recorded/produced collabs. since 12/13 yrs old, like his collab. at near 13 w/15 yr old ZICO, etc

Edit 2: I’ve done some research, and I don’t believe he actually came out as non-binary- I think he simply talked about an androgynous image, and still goes by he/him pronouns, but I’m not sure. @@Ebs72PJ95 gender identity : ok have in mind that this is my vision but the definition can be found on the LGBT+ blog.
You may choose to hear what are their experience or testimony.
Identity is how you present yourself to society
The obvious is male or female
but if your program in school has covered gender you know that some species have both organs.
Up to lately people with both organs are called hermaphrodites.
It is a word Greek origin
so it has been there for quite a while.
I think parents and the medical-surgical team have reassigned gender without knowing what gender should suit the individual best.
because teenage year tends to blur the lines from infancy
and you might be stuck to butchered organs.
The issue is raised on BT21 as a societal issue.
      The public WC.
So identity is your persona political statement
As a male you may play with society codes.
You know that back in the day female had to be spotless and not mix with opposites gender so male artists has to be inventive to represent women because they do exist and the first encounter is the mother.
The easiest solution is make up and woman clothes
The make believe is perfect but at the end of the day you may be a father of two.
The same with women wearing male clothes.
It is useful to have an education
      Yentl

To have a preference is not the same to have no preference
The spectrum is wide and specificity exist
This is why it is polite not to speak for a person.
      Because once you are out
you have to deal with the backlash of someone else’s opinion
This is why we make laws to protect.

@@Ebs72PJ95 This is not a stupid question at all! Don’t worry, I hope this comment helps :)
Gender identity is how you perceive yourself. Am I a woman? A man? Non-binary? Etc. Your sex, aka the result of the genitalia you were born with (usually) determines you as male or female. However, your gender identity may or may not align with your sex.
Sexual orientation is, on the other hand, who you are/are not attracted to. Examples include being gay (males attracted to males), bisexual (attracted to both genders) etc.
Now, I’m not sure if Jo Kwon is actually non-binary or not, but the point is that we don’t know his sexual orientation. If a person comes out and says that they prefer they/them pronouns, for example, we know their gender identity. However, we don’t know who that person is attracted to- as in we don’t know if they’re straight, lesbian, asexual, etc. until we politely ask or they say it themselves.
Hopefully that helps! Sorry it’s a long comment, haha. Have a great day!

I think a person who can success does not depends on when he starts but on his attitude in the learning process. Although Jiminie’s training period was the shortest but he studied the hardest. Especially his dancing skill, he said that he was not good at pop dance before his debut cause he majored in modern dance. Jhope also said Jiminie spent most of time in the practicing room during the training period.

The reason why I think Jm was excluded/ thrown out nearly 8 times was because of his (dance) style and voice. We know that initially Bighit planned to debut BTS as a hip-hop group. For a hip-hop style, you must be good in break dance and all those stuff. But with jm's style, we know that he was a contemporary dancer and not from hip-hop background. And for his voice, it is more airy, lighter, and angelic. But for rap, you'd need a lot more deeper and strong voice. Jm is/was able to rap( Tony Montana) later, cuz by then his voice became stable nd manly. While he debuted he was only a teen, whose voice was undergoing a break/ crack nd stabilization. But the only thing I find unreasonable/ unexplainable is the reason why he was thrown out just the day before the debut . Cuz by then, they would have planned nd sorted everything plus, Jm being an excellent performer why would he be dismissed????

Why then choose him of that big position? When V love singing before and dancing also. And also Jin he has a strong voice to be a lead vocalist because he then trained for his vocals and Im sure they see his potential then and its possible for him to take the position. But why would Jimin take that positions?

So, trainees together for at least a year, first year after debut together as "same age friends", and so possibly two years of high school together. They have definitely mentioned going to and from school and having classes together at their performing arts school in Seoul. With how outgoing and social both boys are, I'm not surprised they seem to have formed a strong bond of friendship, even calling each other "soulmate" as in their song 'Friends' from Map Of The Soul: 7.

Mr. Bang truly is a marketing genius. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe initially he had worked for one of the Big 3 companies (JYP?) and when he broke off to start Big Hit, he knew that in order to get his group(s) any recognition, he was going to have to approach it in a completely different manner. I believe he knew that in order for BTS to get anywhere in the Kpop scene, they would need the help of their fans. Hence, the early vlogs, blog, fan cafe and, eventually, BangtanTV. Their lives have been an on-going reality show that we have obsessively watched for seven years. The internet allowed the world outside of SK to see, hear, follow and fall in love with seven (extremely talented) men from South Korea. Thank you, Bang PDnim, for giving us this opportunity and making ARMY the power-house it is today! 💜

I think it’s worth mentioning that, even this early in their relationship, Jikook were quite close (I don’t buy into the JK was annoyed by JM narrative or the JM fell faster but JK fell harder thing, not entirely). They have mentioned having being a source of comfort for each other since both of them were from Busan and they were the same age as each other’s siblings. I believe I saw somewhere that JK would sneak into JM’s bed when he was homesick because JM reminded him of home. And it’s been stated that JM was a big influence in JK’s decision to keep training as an idol instead of focusing solely on dancing (which he considered after his time in the USA) since JM told him to stay.

8:11 yes I heard of him being kicked out 8 times.
It must have induced some stress level.
But I am not worrying about Jimin. The introduction I have of him as if he believes his path is a goal
    he is not given up.
This is why if he decides to quit is scarier. Because he is going to put his energy somewhere else.
There is no report of open conflict except the dumplings incident which was work-related.
Basically, v has been working all day on the movie set of hwarang he arrived famished for the training dance session Jimin asked them to eat after their 20 minutes routine but someone ordered a giant warm jumbo dumpling 🥟 and v has not eaten all day has been working all-day
Yes, the juicy dumpling was already in his mouth.
Ok angry Jimin you don't want to see but you know v he won't back up
And all guys in that band and yummy food
    Well you know
After 2 weeks and a good silent drinking session, it was over so
Time is measured differently for Jimin and the rest of the planet. For him, it lasted 2 days. Reality is 2 weeks but who's counting
Back to jk left all alone.
I have confidence that Jk has speed-dialed him since he left the building.
If they ever make a video of this moment I would agree that it will the notebook or 4 wedding and a funeral kissing scene without a kiss
because I am not sure that walking by pedestrians would have whacked their heads (Seoul is not Paris) 👍

I agree with you regarding Jimin. At their debut he was easily their second best dancer(considering their style at that time, don't want to start a JMvsJH discussion), had excellent charisma, although not fitting the Korean beauty standards, he was a pretty boy and certainly not the "worst" visual in the group, his singing was pretty good and he did great adlibs already then. It might have had something to do with his temper and/or personality. BUT there's a clip of their dance teacher Son Sungdeuk saying Jimin was the hardest one to teach or something? That makes absolutely no sense watching the result: their performances from debut till now. Maybe he was among the "someones" who didn't want Jimin to debut? Sure it probably took some time and practice for him to adapt to a new style, but some members were not good dancers at their debut. If you've learned the basics of dance you can adapt to a new style easier than someone who doesn't know how to dance at all. Although he had a temper it also seemed like he took good care of his band mates from an early stage and he was smart and polite.
That whole situation makes me quite confused.

    • @laylascott6096
      @laylascott6096 Před 3 lety +7

I believe it’s because of the way he was trained as a dancer, so with his muscle memory it was probably really really hard to train him, even harder than someone with no dance experience. Hope that makes sense. Amazing where he is now though. To me he’s the best dancer I’ve ever seen. I believe I read all about this on a page that analyzes all of Jimin’s dance styles
Edit- I commented that before finishing the video and it does seem like there was likely some kind of dynamic issue into play in the beginning as well. Either way - can’t imagine BTS without any of them

    • @kristin123a
      @kristin123a Před 3 lety

@@laylascott6096 no, actually that does not make sense. Someone trained in any form of dance would have an easier time than someone who can’t dance and doesn’t have natural abilities. Even if they might have some habits to work past. This is just another example of “myths” surrounding Jimin’s skills that are in fact negative and toxic. There are plenty of idols who have contemporary backgrounds that are great dancers. And like I said. At their debut he was still the second best. Didn’t he say he almost got cut the day before debut? Might have been a joke about that exact day, but still shows parts of the truth.

    1:30 I agree
    My opinion is
there’s a lot of missing gaps that get sometimes filled up when they comment on their past.
Like for instance, the 2020 festa that reveals a turning point
    In jk and Jimin’s bond.
    I love how V commented
but that’s so old. He heard the story before
And other members it is like a drama. They learn it in 2020.
And the way Jimin started it was four or five years ago. So Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
I think I heard Hoseok second time leaving was mentioned by him ? in burn the stage but I didn’t see the series yet.
I think it was because of the death threats situation.
And not every nuance or word is being translated. So a lot gets lost in translation.
And the importance to see a whole clip because editing serves a purpose of the editor.
