I keep 15 Tigers with a Blood Parrot in planted 75 gallon. Seems to work well, they've been together for over a year now.

The tiger barbs in my tank are really good in my tank and they share it with a Golden Gourami and Kribensis Cichlid. In fact I often see the kribensis school with the barbs.

I have a tank of a school of 8 Tiger barbs, 1 molly, 1 Gold Gourami, 3 Cory catfish, 1 yo yo loach, and a hill stream loach and they go perfect together, the gold gourami is definitely the alpha and the Tiger barbs respect him. Note it’s a 55 gallon so it’s got some room
I love tiger barbs I keep them in a community tank and they are definitely the gangsters of the aquarium. My other fish are white skirt tetras, red ember tetras, Cory catfish, platters and 1 red tail shark. They all seem fine living amongst each other for the past six months I owned them.

I have 8 tiger barbs in my 75 gallon... have a pink gourami, gold gourami, Madagascar Rainbow, 1 rainbow shark, 1 red tail shark, and a pleco. The tigers honestly don’t chase anything around in my tank... it probably helps that I put in a lot of planted cover and rock cover on one side of the tank, my tigers love to swim around through the plants and rocks on that side, and don’t venture to the more open half super frequently. They just kinda do their own thing. I think the Madagascar keeps them in check because he seems to love to swim up to everyone to check them out lol. But my tigers Just kind of do their own thing and leave everyone alone
Haha this is so true. I just returned a tiger barb back to the aquarium shop as it is stressing the rest of the fishes in the fish tank. I wish I have watched this video before I bought it.
My tiger sand loaches are definitely in charge of my tank. I have a school of odessa barbs but the loaches established dominance VERY quickly. They have no issues coexisting. 😂

Rossy barbs are good tank mates . My tigers often school with them

Hi. I have five peach tiger barbs in my 55 gallon tank that has four Bolivian rams and one redtail shark. And a brissle pleco. There all going fine. Had them for almost 8 months. But I do have tons of drift wood and plants. I think it can be done a mix tank like mine.

I know that ..i experienced that too. When i was a beginner i used to keep different types of fishes with barbs and they almost killed every other fish by biting its fins
Buy a semi aggressive cichlids, or any semi aggressive fish maybe like 5 or 6 of it, same size preferably, then add 10 or more tiger barbs. Worked for me. Also make sure to scape your tank properly and proper tank size. They are a little needy when you're preparing but they are worth it if everything is done properly, they are stunning and active.

Crazy fish. I have one red and one green barb. The red barb nipping all other fishes in my tank, angelfish, glofish, Molly. The green barb chasing the red barb all the time.
I have a 125 gallon aquarium that has a school of about 15 tiger barbs along with discus and all sorts of other creatures in they all get along perfectly fine oh yeah there's about 10 cichlids in there also
My Tiger Barbs swim with my Neon Tetras and my Dwarf Gourami. My hatchet fish and shrimp aren't bothered by them and my Fancy Guppies chase them away like a little Chihuahua chasing away a Pit Bull. LOL!
My green barbs are not aggresive and i keep them with gouramis, kulhi loach, corys, but they never nip fins or fight!
Had mine with Mollies and Platys, they never got aggressive with each other, either.
I've kept them with rainbowfish and swordtails and a redtail and it worked fine

Tiger barbs are great fish. Keep a school of them and they will stat to themselves. Why is there only one tiger barb in your tank? If he is acting crazy its because he is insecure and bored. He also shouldn't be kept with African cichlids

Oh yes...tiger barbs..the nipping terror... Personaly, I have great succes in taming the "nipping beast", in a 120 litre I have a group of 7 that share the tank with 2 pearl gourami males and in a long 130 litre I have a group of 10 tigers that share the tank with a long finn Conconius, w/o any nipping incident. I have 18 Tiger barbs with 5 white Molly and 4 Cory catfish over 6 months now
I had a gold severum but it ate 7 of my Tiger Barbs. Have 6 left. I gave away the severum the other day and I'm going to get ten more tiger barbs. I have a 55 gallon. Also have 6 cory cats a bristle nose pleco and a rainbow shark that the barbs don't bother. The rainbow shark actually chases the barbs.
I am keeping :
2 blood parrots
4 balloon convicts
4 clown loaches (2 small 2 big)
a large pleco
10 congo tetras
15 tiger barbs
2 gouramis
In my 80 gallon tank they are doing well. My tiger barbs are really peaceful .(perhaps it was an exception)
Only problem I have is small clown loaches and parrots changed personalities (before I bought gouramis , congos and convicts can someone tell me why?
Tiger barbs are sound man, yeh from my experience with 7 types of barbs they can be pricks at times, from what ive seen they tend to bully albino barbs most and I had a green barb who was huge and they messed up his fins because he was friendly. It seems in the tiger barb world you cant be nice and be a barb sadly. I have a red tailed shark in with them too and when 1st introduced they "tryed" to mess with em for all of 5mins til he stood his ground and clamed a tunnel as his territory which he still holds to this day. Other then this they all get on fine but out of 30 barbs to this day they bullied my corys which i moved to a different tank and other barbs which i also moved. (1 BIG green, 2 tigers and 4 albino) the cherrys they left alone almost like they were off limits haha.

5, tiger barbs, 5 red cross tetras, 5 danios, 5 polar blue parrot, 3 glofish tetras and 1 pleco and they seem to be peaceful in my 50 Gal tank :D

4:12 hey can u tell me what is the gourami doing at the top? It seems like its drinking water? I dnt know what shez doin. My gouramis were doing the same thing and I cannot tell what thats means or should I be concerned?

They are crazy. I'm gonna agree fully. I feel that you can only keep them only with themselves. They bully each other. I saw a couple fight and the other one died of exhaustion.
Try to have more females than males.

Prob not, tiger barbs are fin nippers and angelfish have long fins

I have 26 tiger barbs in a 75 gallon community tank with 10 guppies and 20 gourami and 3 pleco going on a week now the tank is doing amazing the guppies are mating and still waiting on my first set of gourami eggs no deaths or stress runs all eating normally iv never had a tank mate issue with tiger barbs yet maybe I just have a friendly bunch.
Tiger barbs MUST be kept in groups of at least 6. That way they harass each other rather than the other fish. I've kept them with Angels (grew up together) without incident.
Really??..tiger barbs would bite thier(angel fish) long fins off..thats really annoying to watch
@@karthik-gk1dg Not in my experience. As I said, these fish were bought younger and raised together. The key with TB's is larger groups in a larger tank.
All wrong about tiger barbs. They are very entertaining fish that should be kept in medium to large numbers. They do great with tetras, red tailed sharks, clown loaches, cories ect. Provided tankmates aren't slow moving or long finned they are fine. Very active and colourful, what more could you want?
How about Danios and Mollys?

Of course! 👍🏼 But keep only 1 rainbow shark in your aquarium unless you have a big tank. They’re very territorial.

His absolutely right!!! I had one Tiger Barb and was very aggressive touch my Guppies!! He was eating biting and theirs tails!! He had to go!!!
The smaller the school the more aggressive they are. They are a schooling fish so one alone makes them nervous and attack.

The only fish they have attacked when I kept them were guppies, they left everything else alone

Get rid of the tetras and get 4 more barbs. Plus you need at least 6-8 of each to make them less stressed and school/shoal better.

Kribensis are not goood you need to seperate kribensis from tiger barbs because kribensis will get very huge and can hurt the tiger barbs or kill tiger barbs

Mmmh their really only bully’s when their able to school. If you have a sole Barb I don’t think they have the balls to bully all on their own, they bully in numbers. Gourmais are some ballsy fish too tho imo. Lmao “probably doesn’t have a father in his life” 🤣🤣🤣 they definitely do well w my semi aggressive cichlids in all honesty.

Chilids can be crept together, who said they can’t ? Only some larger aggressive ones need to be kept solo like flower horns etc. I do feel bad for that solo tiger barb they don’t do well solo I hope he finds a good home with some homies. I personally love roger barns and had no problem keeping them with loaches and multiple gourami
