The biggest win for me for Grosjean getting out of that car alive
Yeah, that shot of him jumping away from the car... he looks like a hero in a movie.
I was positive I watched him die
I wonder what would’ve happened if he didn’t get out😔
@@skrimper Same, I saw that explosion, I thought that was it
Yea i didn't realise how bad it was, until I realised that front half of his car was hanging at an angle. The fire was crazy enough, but he had to get out of the car with it being like that

He was, this year, unfortunately, like an artillery shell in a handgun.

Leclerc and Sainz are gonna be an amazing duo they are so alike in racing
@@Ochohades 💯
Absolutely, I've always loved when drivers acknowledge the disappointment that the team experiences along with the driver. And Leclerc is quite young as well which makes him that much more impressive.
Nurburgring, Turkey, Mugello, Imola and Algarve getting more love after one race than Barcelona, Sochi and Yas Marina combined.
Despite the race in Imola being lackluster.

Right. I don't see anything "dramatic" in Stroll pole position. It was emotional, it was satisfying, it was breathtaking... But dramatic? I don't think so.
@@HaraiGoshi345 Hmm..

@@coffeeguyd you're terrible 😂😂😂. Love your humour and I will also point out that the original comment has gone through the necessary editing ✌️
As much as I loved Gasly winning... Hearing the hurt in Sainz's voice is still heartbreaking
I think it's a deserved win from Gasly , he got lucky but nowadays if you're not in a Merc or a RB , you have to be lucky to win , Sainz reduced the diff to under 1s with 3 laps to go but he failed to overtake Gasly .
At least he won a race 2 years later 😄😄
@@Formula1Core Yes but now he drives for Ferrari, which is much worse
Agree, Carlos was really great that weekend
I'm never going to be able to see Romain without at least a lump in my throat. When he talks about being happy to be there, it flattens me each time. I've seen some horrible - and sadly, fatal - crashes in my near 50 years of being a petrolhead. 2 wheels or 4, doesn't matter, I love it. But I've seen too many horrendous crashes as they happened and that one was one of the most terrifying I've ever seen. For him to jump over that barrier... Yes, the massive amount of safety features there are now absolutely played their parts, and for that I'll be forever grateful, but it was like seeing a miracle unfold, especially as he was, to all intents and purposes, barely hurt at all.
This year, I think that every improvement in safety has in one way or another been used. No thanks will ever be enough to those who made them happen.
That crash looked like all the terrible fatal crashes of the 70s put together. Rindt, Williamson, Cevert, Ronnie, Koinigg, all put together. And he walked away from it 👏🏻
I’m calling it. This might be bold but. Hamilton gonna win a race next year
You mean Championship..
NO WAY that's just too unlikely
@iRewarp mate you are missing the yoke
@iRewarp can you take a joke
@iRewarp welp you obviously didn't get the joke

@@P3TER_Official23 More likely worse than Williams
@iRewarp They've been saying they have a new engine. So hopefully back where they belong - top 3.
@@netsoroneandonly9326 Another engine that they are using to cheat with UHM I mean go through some loopholes that technically isn't illegal yet but when they are found out it will be illegal and Ferrari will be nerfed again? nice
@@sirmounted8499 In 2019, Ferrari messed with the fuel system. Redbull figured it out and told the FIA if they didn't stop it, they would do it too.
So the FIA just added another fuel censor(originally there was only one) to all cars, to ensure that no one can alter the fuel flow.
That's how Ferrari got caught out.
If they can make a power unit that is much better and within the regulations, no one can object.
Honda and Mercedes have done it, they can do it too.

2:31 the sign in the background. Power is nothing without control as cars are crashing. Perfect.
“I want this win Tom” pure determination after being told to take it easy and stay safe. When what he wants is right in front of him. Just imagine being in that seat in that scenario
Pretty sure the engineer was saying to take it easy with Kimi specifically, not the whole race. Probably didn’t want to make a collision in turn one which would’ve ended the race so the right decision
Grosjean: that was the worst thing I’ve seen ever
Bahrain: hold my beer

@@mrjdmtunerboy.1463 Don't forget Mazaspins teammate
Does anyone have footage of Mazepin signing the contract so we include it in the video?
All i can say is i'm so proud of the engineers and staff of the F1 the leaps and bounds they have made in safety have saved so many lives it's just astonishing.
Just remember how against the halo a lot of team principals, engineers and especially drivers were. Toto said "If they give me a chainsaw I would cut it off." If Grosjean didn't have it on his car, he would have been decapitated almost 100%. and Lewis probably would have a broken neck or worse after Max ended up on top of him at Monza.

@@darksemmel503 Yeah but who knows what would have happened if Albon got a podium there? He seems like an emotional guy who is really frustrated when he DNFs. This podium could have given him confidence for the next races and maybe he would have performed better the whole season because of that.

The speed in that turn though
That's exactly what popped into my head when I watched it live haha
That “Power is nothing without control” ad is perfectly placed at Sakhir, right as Leclerc barges his way through and crashes
I see many people discrediting Stroll's pole lap only because of where he finished in the race. Its still an incredible lap that should be given more credit regardless of how his race unfolded
Yeah they messed up his strategy as they did (many times) with checo earlier in the season.
Stroll got random wing damage in the race which cost him an incredible amount of downforce in the conditions
On the newer inters he had no grip and no chance
**Top 10 Dramatic Moments**
Nr. 5: Stroll gets his first pole position
😂😂
No matter how many times I see that Grosjean crash, I get tears. We are all very fortunate to see this man alive and well. The result could have been very much so different, and everyone knows it. ❤️
Romain Grosjean leaping the armco barrier from that huge fireball will go down as one of F1's most iconic images. Amazing that he survived. A miracle really.
I had actually expected Sakhir (Russell's heartbreak & Perez' win) to have been in the top 10...
I was thinking they would've at least lumped them together.
Ya that race was more dramatic than Stroll's poll lap, this was just a highlights video not a dramatic moments video.
@@gregoryfernandez6676 that is true but stroll's pole has to be in the top 10 no matter what
Poor Alex, maybe a podium in Austria would change many things😔
Would have probably won too😶🍃
Your capacity of overcoming such things is as important to a race driver as his speed. Pérez lost his job, lost a podium when his engine failed with 3 laps to go and won the very next race. That's resilience, you need that to be Verstappen's teamate.
That was a win on the cards there
Alex never recovered from that
And Brazil. He gets frustrated so I reckon he would have done a lot better with those podiums

"This is the worst thing i've seen ever." Don't be sure mate
Alex never recovered from the clash with Hamilton in Austria. Just think how differently his season could have gone had he won that race. Just Sad.
Yes but he had a lot of chances which he could have cashed in on. Though the podium in the first race would have been a big booster for his confidence
He had 16 more races to prove a point. If I remember correctly, Lance and Max were among the seven other DNFs. One got a pole position and Max even had 2 wins. I like Albon but he just didn't quite cut it this past season.
@@KirtiKumarKasat1 he would have won the race if it weren't for that crash. He was on softs and if you remember both Mercedes had a gearbox issue so they couldn't push to overtake him either. Winning a race before Max would have been a huge confidence boost for Albon and would have put him in a better position with the team.
Resilience is as important to a race driver as his speed. You will have to overcome such things a lot of times in your carreer. Pérez, without seat in the future, lost a podium when his engine failed with 3 laps to go and won the very next race. That's resilience.
