watching this again in 2021. I'm currently In the depression stage right now. I saw this video and I am watching it to give me some hope. I'm super proud of you Lilly Singh. I have been watching you since the beginning and I'm so happy to see you today living your dream. I hope to one day be like you but with my own goals. It's 2022, I have hitted yet another rockbottom after 4years, it's related to my career this time. I am watching this video because four years ago this exact video encouraged me to keep hoping and keep fighting with the giant called life. And I survived and I had the most wonderful 4years. I've been going through depression very similar to the way you described it in this video and I decided to watch you because your videos make me laugh and there very happy and I want you to know that your video really helped me and it helped me so much that I'm crying while writing this and I haven't done so much crying in my life because I'm so used to hiding it behind a smile almost my whole life and am so happy I chose to say something I feel like a 1,000,000 pound weight has just been lifted off my back. My cousin is self concious and has a strong case of anxiety. I once caught her with a knife to her heart. It got so bad my aunty was resorting to take her to a mental hospital. I felt bad as her friends left her thinking she was a psycho. She feels as if when people stare at her they are talking bad about her. She feels like she has to hurt herself to be pretty and lock herself away.
And im here to tell you that if you are having these thoughts dont let them win! Are you really going to let silly thoughts take over your life? If your life is that bad it may get better as you go along. You cant jump a hurdle without warming up! get some help, talk. Talk to those who mean something to you. Write bad things on a piece of paper and rip it to shreds to as much as you desire, take out your anger on something other than yourself. Because at the end of the day your all handsome, beautiful the lot. You just gotta try hard to get yourself to that point. Dont give up.

going through cancer twice, losing an eye, moving, having my parents divorce and losing most of my friends has definitely made me depressed. This vid actually made me cry a little. You are so strong and right now, I am very socially awkward around people and always worry about what to say. I hope I can get to be as awesome as you. I spent many days just lying in bed, because I never saw a reason to get up. I've always wanted to be a writer. This vid has truly inspired me to reach that goal. Thank you so much! Gosh, I watched this 5 or 6 years ago when I was about 9. At that time, all of this meant nothing to me. Then, I watched this again a few years later when I was 12 and standing on the roof of a building, looking for a reason to live. The only reason I got down is this video. It gave me an insane amount of hope, and I thought about it every time I wanted to go back up. Today marks one year that I have not cut myself or self-harmed in any way. It's the first time I'm watching this video since, and I am so so so proud of myself. I'm still not the happiest person. But I want to be alive. I'm excited for when I get to go to college, and I wanna live to see tomorrow, next week, and next year. So yea, it gets better. I promise you it does. The only constant in life is change.

Depression is a beast but seeing videos like this to help you forget about your problems, even for only a moment, really helps. I maybe a bit too late to join the SUPER team and watch this video, but I am glad you havent taken it down. Its amazing how YOU have been through all that and now you are THIS!!! Millions of people might have already commented the same stuff I am saying amd you might not even read this now after so many years (yeah you made it when you hit 700,000 and now you're 11 million. Yep, long time ago). Whether you do, or dont do....I just want to say, Thank You Lilly for sharing this story, because right now the 10 feet giant has knocked me down, I am under the bridge and have been for the last 4 years. My dreams go furthur and furthur away from me even as I type this, but I keep hoping...still. What you went through for 1 year I am going through since 2007. People are abundant who can drop an advice and sympathy and consolatiom. *in tears* but to actually know that Superwoman was once knocked down too AND that she punched her way back and how! is truly giving me hope again. I'll try to get up for round 10 actually. Life is sometimes unusually mean to some people and keeps being mean for years. I still dont have a strategy,but I'll think of you, your voice,this video,your doodles and work up a plan,I promise!

I was feeling down because I was never getting big roles, singing solos, or dance solos, so I was doubting myself thinking I'm not good enough. You video changed on how I looked at myself. As cliche as this may sound, I am actually, legitimately crying right now. The second she said "help me hit 700,000 subscribers", I just LOST it. I don't know what happened, I didn't feel that emotional before that moment, but damn, had she gone far.
