This is how I've modified my OEM hifi BMW i3 audio system
Components: Focal ES 100 K kit; SR5600 Audison Amplifier class D, Coral serie Monza 160 med

This is the only video tutorial for BMW i3 woofer installation - everyone else skipped this most difficult part :)
Nice find to cut through the yellow cover in the firewall (which covers steering column hole for right-hand-drive cars). Only even better it is to take power from the DC-DC converter next to the main electric motor - no need to pull power all the way from the front with its little battery.

This a an excellent video and guide, thank you. I will be installing an audison ap8.9 bit amplifier with Voce av1.1, 3.0 & 6.25 speakers along with an apbx10as subwoofer into my i3.
