They say he overplays, but I find him very respectful to the original creators. Leaving space where needed and in general boosting the song. And I dont call that overplaying.. and ofcourse its a drum video, so the drum volume is up a bit, bit you can still hear every word em said.
He is no drummer. He is a singer that sings with his drums. And now he is rapping too ...

For me, he is the Michael Angelo Batio of drums. Unconventional style, highly technical plays, clean executions, sick music.

I've heard many guitars seem to sing the lyrics, Hendrix, Van Halen, and Santana are good examples. I NEVER thought I'd hear DRUMS sing the song. OMG, that was incredible how the drums went along with and helped the "feel" of the music. This song and "Blinded By The Lights" won't stop going through my head. Absolutely love this guy. His work ethic is how he's so good. It's not just talent. He's a beast and scares the shit out of me and I'll bet he's the coolest guy you've ever met.
First time i saw this it took a sec to realize that right side snare was upside down because ive rarely seen him use more than the one floor tom lol once the first scratch hit i knew and was like OH okay cool lol man is an absolute monster behind the kit and preaches discipline and hard work. Love Jorge
His cover of Linkin Park - Numb is one of his best, imo. I love watching this guy, he is so creative. What sets him apart is his musicality and orchestration. There are other drummers out there that could play this if shown it and if they practised it, they certainly have the technical skill, but who else would come up with a drum cover like this?
He is that combo of technical skill, feel, and musicality that is just different. If I may give a better analogy, it's not like having pizza and candy for dinner, it's like being taken out to a 3 Star Michelin restaurant. No one wants to eat fine dining at that level every night, but it is an amazing experience when you do :)

@@RaynaVandel It's the most recent cover of Numb he did, there is an old one, but the newer one is better, imo.
It's the subtle things he does to enhance the percussion, like using the upsidedown snare, and rubbing the stick on the wires to create a shaker sound is genius.

people may say it is all down to practice.. but practice will only take you so far.. you have to be gifted to start with to be this good just like Tina s. on the guitar... the guy is probably the best and most creative drummer there has ever been.
