About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

Great to see you back on the road. Just a suggestion if you want to keep the rug / runner, grab a roll of gripper fabric used for lining drawers or trays to stop it slipping. Pickup at from Bunnings, Spotlight, discount shop etc about $5 roll. Or maybe a better option to get some marine carpet which is durable, can be easily hosed off & wont slip around. Again at Bunnings, BCF etc. It comes in a wide roll so you’d only need a small amount to fit across the gap.

😂😂😂 every time we pop the table everything goes silent as soon as we look at each other we just loose it laughing 😂😂 it’s a classic hey. Reason for the wider wheels honestly I just wanted a more aggressive look and to be honest I have actually noticed the car doesn’t sway as much. Wolf creek is going to be epic!!!

Love the new fitout, and looks like the Troopy will be even more comfortable for travel. I looked in the description but you didn’t say which EcoFlow model you have for running the van. We had the Delta Pro Max last year and it came in very handy when our van inverter died. I could then still use our 230v appliances. This trip we have a Delta mini, which is still very capable but lighter and much smaller. We use it for backup if it’s cloudy and we are not driving every day. But, so far we haven’t used either one for our entire setup so I’m interested to see how it works out for you.
Thanks Susan, we have been absolutely loving the new fitout. It really does feel so comfortable now! We have been using the ecoflow delta and are so impressed with how it’s performing! Even as we’re getting up into the hotter climate now it’s still going strong!

Great upgrade to the inside of your Troopy. 👍 While I've seen the floor top also used as a bed base on other builds, two things unique to yours that I haven't seen elsewhere were the pop-up work table and the fridge top cover that can also be used as the floating workbench . I love items or features in rig builds that have dual (or more) purposes. And I know it's bound to happen but it will be a sad day when it's time for you guys to sell the Troopy. 🥺
So glad to hear you like it! Yesss the boys did such a good job with it all, their creativity with the build is one thing but being able to execute it so well is amazing! We are still hoping the troopy sale isn’t a need, if we are able to head overseas comfortably without it we will definitely be keeping it forever 😆

I've literally always wanted to go to wolf creek crater since I saw that movie years ago. I've always been to scared to go there on previous Australia trips because it looks so remote and hard to get to. I'm really excited for your upcoming videos!

Awesome looking setup! Come up amazing and super practical, how do you guys go about cooking and cleaning in the rain do you’s ever cook inside? But very keen to follow this setup when I do mine!
Thanks Hayden! So far in this fitout we haven’t had any rain but in the old one we used to cook inside heaps! We have used the jet boil inside this one though when we’re too lazy to get out first thing in the morning and it’s all worked fine! Having the sink inside to dump dishes in has been a game changer 🙌🏼
Epic, I’m running an eco flow in my camper van. Works well! 400w of Solar. Haven’t worked out how to have car charge and Solar without changing plugs. Did you find a solution?

No, actually the trip was 2 year's in the planning, we ordered an offroad poptop caravan 18 months ago, got it in November last year. We had planned see the solar eclipse in Exmouth. We booked in at Yardie Creek station then planned 2 months to get home to Melbourne. However change of plans We will possibly go up north next year, but love to do WA

Not anymore unfortunately! We ended up culling a few luxury things to create more space in the troopy. We just use a smaller pump (still companion) and boil some water now 😅

Hey Joe, yes we do. 100% recommend them I (Jack) personally would not be able to do the long drives without mine! 3000ltss is the model.

And to be perfectly candid it all comes down to money. If we can afford to keep the troopy and still head overseas comfortably, we obviously will keep it. We don’t want to sell it but it can be hard to predict our revenue in this business. Basically it depends on the success of this series and any extra work we can pick up behind the scenes in the meantime. We shall see 🙃🙃
