I remember when I was going through the process of obtaining a guide dog. A friend told me that their were actually such things as guide horses. The program that trains the horses is called the guide horse foundation and they work with miniature horses. I did not get a guide horse because the waiting list was extremely long and they stopped accepting applications. However, I don't regret meeting my guide dog Floral. I met her through a program called Guiding Eyes For the Blind. If anyone is interested they should check these programs out.
