All broadheads where sharpened by me, some of them were dull, some already sharp. And some cannot get sharp at all, like #4. Maybe the metal is too soft.
Some of the broadheads from #6 and #8 were crooked from the box, but they can be bent straight.
Broadheads with cut on contact blade and high mechanical advantage like #7, #8 and #9 are very easy to push thought the cardboard.
Swhacker knockoff did not deploy from cardboard, but I bet it needs something softer and longer penetration than cardboard.
I would not buy #4 again, it cannot be sharpened.
#3 and #5 are both super strong broadheads.
#6 weren't straight but you can rebent them a little.
#10 is hard to sharpen because of its shape. #8 is also hard to sharpen because of the smaller blade.
#11 Chinese field tip is unacceptable twisted as a field tip.
Overall metal of these Chinese knockoffs isn't high quality and cannot be sharpened that well compared to the more expensive original ones.

Update 2023:
I shot a blue wildebeest with #9. It was a pass though and it hit some bones and the first 2 mm of the tip bent. The tip is very thin material. I wouldn't shoot anything bigger because of that.
I shot also an oryx with #3. Arrowhead went though and it broke the outer side leg. No damage seen to the broadhead and it was still sharp. Very strong broadhead.
I shot a roe deer using #2 yesterday. Did its job well! It makes a huge hole and no damage seen to the broadhead.
Thank you for video! Why you using #2? Why not #3? #3 - super strong broadheads, guaranteed result.
@@Mr.Seydel Thanks for the comment. #3 is indeed a super strong broadhead, but I used a mechanical broadhead because it makes larger blood channel and it flies better if you make an imperfect shot. I would use a fixed blade broadhead like #3, #5 or #9 if I was shooting bigger game like white tails or boars
@@jyk4 thanks for the answer!
Ive shot 2 deer with #2 neither went 20 yards .And 3 raccoons on the ground and the broadheads never bent or broke . You have to put strong orings on them if shooting from a crossbow.
Number 3 and number 5 are actually quite impressive. I have shot both of them and their steel is decent quality. All stainless steel is harder to sharpen than carbon blades and they MUST be sharpened before hunting with them. Very affordable. I glanced off a rock shooting at a groundhog with the 3 blade. It only slightly damaged the tip and did not bend the broadhead so still shot accurate. The two blade Ozcut knockoff flies the best. I bought the 150 gr for increased FOC. It flies great and actually has a cutting width similar to a Zwicky Eskimo though it looks small based on its length.
Shot again a roe deer with #2. It cut backbone in half and the blades were still totally fine!
Bought some of the green ones for small game and a last resort arrow in my quiver.
Use #9s with trad and #5s with compound. Shot some of my bigger boars with #9. I was debating spending twice the money on slick tricks but after this I think I'll save the money and stick with #5s.
#8 and #9 would be my choice.
some of them are verry good...yea they need a lil sharpening but for the money they do the job like it need to be!
With #9, I'm guessing the screw insert is just glued in. Do you think screw insert could be removed, and tapered wooden arrow shaft glued in instead?
I guess you can buy the similar broadhead with wooden arrow inserts
Hello, i have some of those cheap chinese broadheads too. I was not able to sharpen #4 and one that looks very similar to #7, they look like they are made out of the same metal. I thought it was just me as i'm new to archery and sharpening, but its comforting to know you couldnt sharpen them either, there's probably something wrong with them. I also have #1, i'm thinking of using it on boars and deer, would you be comfortable shooting those? I havent spin tested them but i shot them and they seem to fly good enough. I should buy #3's, i'm hearing good things about them from lots of people. How sharp were you able to get #3's? Thanks!
#4 is worst of the all, its metal is something low quality stuff and you just can't get it sharp.
Mine #7 was already quite sharp but its cutting diameter is small.
I was able to sharpen #3 somehow sharp (it won't slide on the thumbnail at 45 degree angle), but it's not razor sharp.
I think #1 is a good broadhead for bigger game (like whitetail and boar), but it will travel for the first 10 cm until it fully deploys, so I wouldn't hunt smaller game
@@jyk4 thanks, i should order several #3's and try them myself since they are quite cheap
My Chinese Knockoffs /brad heads just took down a cow elk... $12 a dozen ... $34 dozen for Arrow Amazon carbon ....
500grain arrow total weight
What language is that on the tele?
It's Finnish
How would you rank them in order from 1 to 11, with one being the best and 11 the worst?
check the video description :)
In addition to that, I would shoot bigger game (100+kg) with fixed blade broadheads and smaller game mechanical.
@@jyk4I'm probably going to go with a fixed blade then, for my recurve. Either the Zwickey Eskimo copy, or the G5 copy (not on your video)
How would you say #3 and #9 compare vs each other? #9 bad since it's not straight?
#9 it looks bad at the spinner test in the video but you can bend it and straighten it.
I was able to make #9 sharper and its mechanical advantage is better because of its shape. #3 feels stronger because of the thicker material but I would say #9 is still strong enough to everything.
If they make some day legal to shoot moose with bow here in Finland, I would use #9 or #3 :)
@@jyk4 Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'd love to see them both compared to the name brands they are "clones" of.
@@thatguythatsoutside I don't have the original ones, but I think the most important difference is the quality of metal. You can't get all these knockoffs so sharp
Do you shoot the broad heads with those rubber bands on?
Sure, they are needed to prevent broadhead to expand during the flight
Can anyone post a link to we're these can be purchased
I have ordered mine from aliexpress.com - just search for "broadhead" and you will find these from several sellers
Shot a few feral cats with the montec m3 knockoffs,1 through the skull....test them out some feral pigs soon.....also want to try those swhacker knockoffs on some foxes too......
This penetration test is just stupid. Especially since cutting through paper/cardboard it very much matters which way you cut in relation to the fiber direction.
Looks like junk to me
