There's a sequence where Dara and Ed remember the time Dara was taken home drunk by the police, disturbing Ed's beauty sleep. It's very, very funny.
I would love to see a bunch of these guys play "cards against humanity" with each other

The Naked Harpist is up there with Private Browsing and Princess Monaco of Kent as some of the best clips of Mock The Week

I can never open a private browsing tab or hear about private browsing without saying "private browsing" in Dara's voice and saluting.
When they riff on a joke and build on it as a group you get comic gold.
The banter is so authentic, you really know they're friends
I like how Katherine is quiet the whole time only to swoop in and land the perfect closing joke.

Both your guy with the organ pun and Katherine with her pun were terrible. The funniest part of the bit may have been "is there a MAAAHN here!?"

There is a discrepancy (about a 200:1 ratio I'd wager) which is indicative of how different genders are viewed differently.
@Pete Jones I don't find her attractive at all, and to be perfectly honest, don't even think she is funny. She seems like a nice enough person so this is not me hating on her, but I do feel that some people might find her funny BECAUSE they think she is gorgeous. That is a common thing in all genres of the arts, for both genders. Just my two cents...

Putting Ed in the show is a guaranteed good show. Such great chemistry with Dara.
I’d love to see a show where Dara and Ed just sit in a pub drinking Guinness (or some other stereotype) and making each other laugh, they’ve known each other so long that they work perfectly together. Unless it’s already being done as a podcast?
That's kind of done with Alan Davies As Yet Untitled (they get the name of each episode from a bit someone says) but I'd love to see Ed and Dara on it together
@@oliviadaly4795 yes I’ve seen most, if not all, of those. They generally work brilliantly. Ed and Dara need a show along the lines of the Fishing one Whitehouse and Mortimer do.

Everyone was on top form here, Ed&Dara egging each other on, Gary with his puns, Hugh with the smart humour, Andy&Josh with the questions and observations, then Katherine tops it off with the wordplay!

This couldn't be more Irish if it tried, Dara and Ed riffing and the rest of them trying to keep up. Glorious stuff.
Except all the British comedians were a bit shit during it. I mean Hugh’s Prince of Whales joke was met with dead silence.
This is a TV classic.
I think Gary's joke about playing stairway to heaven got under appreciated there.
Comic timing of Katherine is spot on with her final very dry comment. And she's a good sport, as the lads are ... well being lads :)
I think this could well be my most favourite segment from all of Mock the Week. Crying with laughter every time I watch it.

Im watching this, realising I haven't had a good group laugh in a long time (even before covid). like the kind where everyone can just relax, and then noone can breathe cos the shit you're saying is just outrageous yet good. I love this skit so much, and everyone in it.

Thousandth like! Seriously this show gives me life! I was feeling really sad one day so I watched this and the Private Browsing video and was laughing my head off!
I have been watching this series since 2009 and there is never, ever a dull moment to be had. I am always excited and curious to see what shenanigans the panelists will get up to all due to one word, a single joke, and then BOOM pure gold.
how could they cancel this show nothing else on British tv has or will ever hit this level again

Wanted to post the same question. Circumstances like this it is usually a rights issue.
Maybe the photo publisher doesn't want this image widely available.
For some reason BBC is notorious about content outside UK.
Kinda like how QI had a hard time with going overseas. The image walls had images reportedly only OK for use in the UK, but not elsewhere. Now it's probably changed or something was worked out where now there are official clips on CZcams.

Why is the photo blurred?
International licensing. The picture is licensed for use on that show in the UK, but not for an international viewing audience. They would have to pay for the rights to use it that way. Welcome to the world of idiotic copyright laws.
