This guy is what happens when you set your character’s charisma to 10 and cooking skills to 11. I think I would watch this guy cook microwaveable popcorn.
Finally another full length video. I know the shorts and tiktoks gain more traction but I personally prefer the longer ones which give us more insight into chefs mind and your relationship
Susur Lee was a fixture on Canada's Food Network during its early days. Always a complete class act, never talking down to contestants or the other guest chefs. And always willing to share knowledge to make cooking better. A true gentleman, and a true master.
I’m an Aussie who watches a lot of cooking shows from other countries. One of my favourite chefs to watch cook is Susur Lee. Always wished he had his own show. I’ve seen him everywhere from Martin Yan’s Chinatowns to Top Chef Masters. Absolute legend. 👍👍
Chef’s genuine + happy reaction to Jet loving the sandwich as the video closes. Man, that smile, you can tell his son’s compliment meant more than any YT metric or comment ever could. 🥰
Oh how I love that Iron Chef calls his son "son" it makes me feel good. They are so close and I love to see father and son closeness. Iron Chef is blessed to have 3 beautiful sons🎉🙏🏽lucky man Iron Chef 👨🍳
Could barely contain myself when I saw the fat being used to cook the leeks. Started crying out of joy by the time the egg got added. So goddamn beautiful.
Lee Family, is one of my favorite example's of a perfect family and perfect relationship between parents and their kids. I love you guys so much, your vlogs are always amazing and interesting to watch. You are really inspiring me. Loved the spinning part and when you started looking straight to the camera :D I was laughing so hard :D
I get that the short form bite sized portions of these vids are the most accessible via TikTok and shorts but these longer full videos are really where the magic's at for me. It really let's the content breathe and let's the viewer better know your dad's process and your video technique and editing! Also your dad's reactions to you giving him high scores is so wholesome haha. Keep up the great content and hopefully longer videos now and then!
I’m just here for the father and son bonding ❤ the food is a bonus love you guys! I hope you keep making this great videos! It reminds me of my dad when I was still young when we used to ride horses. ❤I miss you dad.
You have the coolest Dad. Not to mention you guys are hilarious and get along so well. I did have a Dad growing up, so you are so dang lucky. I watched your Dad all the time on TV when I was younger. He was always one of my favorite Chefs.
Please keep these longform videos coming. Really love the little tips and stuff i've picked up from just watching these. The short's are okay, but these are way more practical for us.
I love your videos because it inspires me to try new things. I've always been a very very picky eater. I never ate vegetables, seafood (still haven't tried any seafood aside from Calamari), very few fruits and just in general been very picky. Videos like this make me want to try new things and experience new flavors from different cultures. Sandwich looks amazing!
Someone that lost their father at a young age this is very amazing and I hope you cherish this moment for the rest of your life cuz I watch it and cry it's amazing
4:40 “should we try it son?” Had so much love behind it. Never had a dad figure in my life. My mom left him when I was 4 and I’ve only seen him a few times since than. We don’t talk that much. Don’t even know where he is now
I like that you guys give legitimate reactions after taking a bite rather than just immediately getting wide eyed and nodding like half of other food creators. cheers!
I don't care for channels like this because most of the recipes are unattainable for most people..cost wise. It ends up being just watching someone cook. What I like about this particular channel is how the dad is 'teaching' viewers but really .. he is teaching his son. I can appreciate that and come back for more.
So glad I first found them on the sons page. Now I’m locked in. His Iron chef dad turns fast food gourmet vids had me in a chokehold. 😂Love this channel .great personality and gourmet skills 10/10🏆
This guy is what happens when you set your character’s charisma to 10 and cooking skills to 11. I think I would watch this guy cook microwaveable popcorn.
that right there should be the next "make it gourmet" cooking short.
That's a great idea, honestly, alex.
@@alexanderlucard4810yess we wanna see it
it would probably be the most delicious popcorn that ever existed
@@nottheone582 No doubt.
The relationship between father and son is beautiful and a joy to see.
The world needs more people like the great, Susur Lee.
Seeing the elation when Jet rated it a 10 was so heart-warming. I could he only cares about making his family happy.
💯 - so heartwarming to witness
I'm jealous to be honest
It's also nice to see someone who is basically an expert at something. This guy can conjure up just about anything in a kitchen. So knowledgeable
spinning the cutting board is actually impressive
Man's got them skills! It was impressive.
I bet he dropped it a few times but edited out 😂
Not too tough. I was a server for a few years, picked it up after a few weeks. The cooks spinning towels I always found more impressive.
Yeah, watching him counterbalance was impressive.
非常好👍!
Being called "children", all the signature moves/sayings, and chef's smile when he gets a good rating are the most wholesome moments.
This was my first video from this channel and I can already tell I'm going to really enjoy it.
Compared to that man's cooking skills, we are truly ALL mere children.... Jus sayin😊
Finally another full length video. I know the shorts and tiktoks gain more traction but I personally prefer the longer ones which give us more insight into chefs mind and your relationship
yes!!!
100% I feel the same way
truuuuuuue
100%
Ok

Did you see the Iron Chef where they both raced for 1 Giant King crab, he cut it in half and gave the other half to the other Chef? Was classy.

@@PeterAtkinson, don't forget a judge / competitor on "Chopped Canada" and was an Iron Chef on Iron Chef Canada (hence the channel name).
He's a pleasant human
Susur’s genuine happiness when Jet rated his food a 10 was so wholesome! 🫶🏻

It’s Jet, not Levi.
@@rickroll9086 Thx for catching that! 🙈
He’s the best dad love him when he calls us children. ❤

Very Asian
Could barely contain myself when I saw the fat being used to cook the leeks. Started crying out of joy by the time the egg got added. So goddamn beautiful.
The smile he had at the end when he knew his son loved his sandwich is priceless!
Father son content and the wholesomeness, while cooking the MOST bestEST looking foods, absolute perfection
underrated comment!!
I'm jealous they get to eat these amazing dishes

Love seeing the relationship you have with your father and how much your dad jokes around but in a serious manner
What I like most is their interaction and bond. This chef is amazing but I really enjoy how well they get along.
I’m glad Susur is getting his praise. I remember watching him on iron chef and going to his restaurants in Canada. He’s a legendary chef in Canada.
Your dad is so wholesome, I love it!
omg!!! That sandwich looked phenomenal... I have no words. Plus Susur's commentary and tips are a straight 10 out of 10
Your dad is so sweet, also seems like he's great fun calling everyone children and spinning that chopping board . ❤watching these
This channel grew so quickly. I love the family. Great example of how to be a good father, raise great kids and keep everyone bonded

Love seeing the father-son duo in these videos they're amazing fun and honestly exciting the outcome of every dish is just terrific!
As a father, I love to see the relationship you have with your son. I just started teaching my 6 year old son to cook, and he loves it!
I’m just here for the father and son bonding ❤ the food is a bonus love you guys! I hope you keep making this great videos! It reminds me of my dad when I was still young when we used to ride horses. ❤I miss you dad.

It is a good day everytime Iron Chef Dad uploads!

Most watchable father son duo. Dad keeps it real, son adds the sass. Love it.
If I had a dad, I would definitely like him to be an iron chef.
Let me guess he went to get some milk and didn’t come back?
@@RiseOTG nah, he didn’t even stick around for breakfast
Oh 😭😭😭
My parents sent me to the corner store to get some milk, and when I got back they'd moved.@@RiseOTG
I truly enjoy watching and learning from Chef, however, the relationship between him and his son is priceless ❤
Wonderful! The two of you have such a great father and son relationship. The sandwich looks so good, great job chef.
There is such so much pride and respect between father and son in these vids.
Thank you for the video and cooking tips!

Amazing! Looks 🔥
This is so wholesome❤
So wholesome. That would make anyone smile.
Fun to watch dad cooking - and spinning his food :)
That miso is lowkey strong. It can make or break so many dishes. I love the inclusion of it.
he got me rolling when he said I'm circulating the fat 😂
I'm a very ambitious cook and it's seldom that other cooks impress me but your Dad easily outshines me. Respect! 👌
WOW!!!! Just the notes I took right now!!! Thanks Chef!
Unbelivable skills and respectful relationship between father and son
That leather holster for the knife on his belt looks insane!
Great videos guys!
Wholesome.
Love this sandwich!!

Looks so good
the "thank you son" was so wholesome 🥺
My wife and I reference "stir stir stir" all the time! 😅

I like how he refers to us as children. I reply with “Yes Father”.
