Fallout 4's Next-Gen Update Is Riddled With Bugs - IGN Daily Fix

- In today's Daily Fix:
The Fallout 4 next-gen update went live yesterday, and it looks like PS Plus users not getting access is just oen of the game's many new problems. Issues with textures, crashes, freezes, framerate, resolution, and more are plentiful. The good news? PS Plus subscribers will be getting the update eventually; it was a bug that Fallout 4 from updating properly through that service. In other bug news, the second major patch for Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is aiming to fix those games' myriad of problems. And finally, own a piece of the Lands Between with this life-size replica of the arm of Malenia, Blade of Miquella. Just don't get infected with scarlet rot, or you'll lose your arm, too.

Obsidian have done it twice, NV was a lot of peoples fave Fallout and also had a lot less time in production than Bethesdas offerings. And Outer Worlds was miles ahead of Starfield/Fo4 too. Aaand yet we're still surprised that Bethesda perpetually screws the pooch....

if only there was a modding community that had spent years fixing all the bugs. Oh wait the new update breaks all that too. Can we finally admit Bethesda are terrible developers. A bare bones broken update that destroyed years of community mods that actually made the game amazing.

DT Boston is still broken!!! Texture issues everywhere in the DT area. Almost like nothing changed
Using the nail gun and saw blade gun shows a red place holder that was used for the guns, they work but theres a skin problem.
I've got a bug that only happens at night, the lighting gets dimmer for a couple of seconds, then goes back to normal.

Anyone else's mods on console just completely get messed up and crash your game more than before the update? Either that or just completely deleted all my mode installed

Only Bethesda would fumble the opportunity to showcase their games after a released tv series by making it more buggy.
The baseball laincher on Xbox right now shoots a caution sign wich is the default dev image and 1 audio que and the gun is invisible this is for most new weapons also they left dev marks in quest spots it looks like a red caution sign

Fallout4 giving me a black screen on launch, still can hear the game , cant see it. Old bug that can be fixed, not anymore because of the update for some reason. Very nice

Ever since the update my game keeps crashing, when before the update it was working perfectly fine on my standard ps4. This is the same old Bethesda bullcrap!
I'm on Xbox and so far, aside from the vats picking up enemies through walls, and a few enemies that are supposed to come out from the ground but not moving... (ghouls around Lexington and downtown Boston " I've not really had any issues, I'm on the base game with dlc snd CC content, and just being able to get to downtown Boston and Goodneighbour without the game freezing a 1000 times is a massive improvement... Also, for a limited time before they start patching stuff, Dogmeat can collect the Cryolater again from Vault 111.

WeMod updated already to work with the updated Fallout. And the PC version is working with no issues at all for me.
Honestly why even play a Bethesda game without bugs? That's like half the appeal of them.

MS needs to establish teams dedicated to development of Fallout games with the quickness. Waiting another 5-7 years for a return on investment for this IP is unacceptable for gamers and shareholders.
Hell, if they haven't already done it, they need to do the same for all the other notable IPs they've acquired over the last 3 years.

My series x can hardly run the game, it’s insane. Frame drops are really bad

On xbox vats is broken. Scanning through walls, frequently missing shots that have a 95% accuracy and hit chance jumping all over the place on targets that are barely moving
Giant red transparent boxes with exclamation points in them.
Amazing how a nearly 9 year old game, that wasn’t even visually impressive in its day, can’t do 60fps and 4K without dynamic scaling. Not sure if this speaks to how bad Bethesda’s code is or how underpowered this gen’s consoles are.
What modern open world game runs at 60fps native 4K anyway?

Even with dynamic scaling,game not run at ultra settings,i compared face to face 2 versions,pc and ps5 and yea console version graphically the same as ps4 pro, but it run 60fps

they never fixed New Vegas why it crashes on PC for any 2024 AMD GPU drivers is beyond weird. You need a bypass intel HD mod to workaround the issue.

Absolutely not. Mostly looks the same.
That's not true. I've been playing and really enjoying it. I'm sure some people have technical issues, but for the most part, it's looks phenomenal and has been really fun.
