- Breaking down all the issues that I’ve found with my new C5 Corvette! Most are simple, some not so much… then we’ll do some POV driving and let the exhaust scream alittle!

Head / cam / headers / buy used set of C5 Z06 wheels / carbon fiber steering wheel / KnightdriveTV headlight conversion / upgrade stereo / paint correct it .... all to that C5 ! I just sub'ed
What heads
@@denairxtx i always recommend some ported and polished 243's.
Overall it's in nice condition. I hope you enjoy your '03 as much as I do mine.
All those little pieces are easily available to replace and inexpensive. I own a '99 Coupe and love it. Best of luck with yours!
Replace the harmonic balancer with an aftermarket unit. It's a major weak spot. A friend and I both experienced issues with them early into ownership. Other than that the LS1 is bulletproof.
Love that color on the c5
Oh, another tip... get an aftermarket cup holder or a bracket for the existing cupholder that holds the drink in place. That cupholder is an annoyance if you actually use it.
double travel buddy is the way to go for phone and other handy storage. Too bad it is always double priced.
any good recommendations?
i almost got a 03 zo6 but i decided to go for the c7 stingray for the extra 55 hp, sometimes i see vids like this and wonder if i should’ve got that c5
i have the same hurst shift kit and it shifts really tight and short, maybe the previous owner installed it wrong or it needs to be replaced
Had a hurst shifter on mine. Hated it. Went to a c6 shifter, kind of long throws but super smooth
Check out the KnightDrive headlights for the C5. Best looking replacement by far and there are metal gears to replace the plastic ones so the popping up/down isnt an issue in the future.
one can also just flip over the nylon gear in the pop up mechanism to the unused teeth, besides being cheaper, in the event if a problem, sacrificial plastic gear teeth are the way to limit damage., verses if you loose a travel limit stop with a metal gear.
I bet it doesn’t have an actual hurst shifter, it probably just has the hurst shift knob like mine has. The stock shifter has a very long throw
cool vid or whatnot👍
Heads up.... use 91% rubbing alcohol on a rag to get rid of the sticky residue on the rubber part of the driver airbag. BTW- the C5 Hurst shifter has 4-way adjustments that most people don't do when they install it, as well as tension adjustment.
the pop up sounds like an aventador launch control 😭
thanks for the video brother looking into buying a c5 very very soon. any other advice or tips ?? anything to look for before purchase and anything to do immediately after purchase?
Check the harmonic balancer when buying one. Search on youtube “c5 crank pulley issues”. Theyre common to be bad on these cars and alittle expensive to fix
Nice car !
Let me know of you was serious about the mgw shifter, took one out of my c5 only had 2000 miles on it.
The shifter cable on my auto 2000 C5 snapped, I had to replace it myself otherwise it was going to cost. Thats another common issue. Another was the radiator drain plug actually broke and fell out draining all the water and overheating the car. Had to replace that too. That's about it on mine.... so far.
How long have you had it?

Thanks bro🔥
Cam in, sounds like a beats!!!!!!
Mgw shifter wont help. I have 1 and 50% of the time it wont go in 1st and reverse is even worse
C5>c8
Both>>>
You don’t know crap about tires also it’s called the harmonic balancer.
I have a degree in the automotive field bro, i’m over qualified in fact. Crank pulley, harm balancer, both are used in workshop manuals
Have some cheese with that whine. Your car is over twenty years old, get over it. You didn't do your job of buying a used car. You are way to concerned about a stereo, tires and paint. Work on the service issues first, then do you wish list items. Any car this age is going to have issues, you driving it hard before you even properly check everything out shows your immaturity. Brakes, fluids, belts and hoses, damper, radiator. Get a service manual, before you destroy your car and it's value.
Thanks for the view
Maybe some glue or double sided tape wedged on the mirror, dealer wanted 1800 painted for a mirror
