A weird story, but something that makes these pools interesting to me- about 40 yrs ago, someone gave my dad an industrial fiberglass tub that was 6 ft by 6 ft, and about 3 ft deep. He brought it home, plumbed it, dug a hole and made it into a fish pond. It's still there, still not leaking. If he would've known it would last that long, I'll bet he would've found some resin and made it into a kiddie pool.

Fiberglass swimming pools do need to be refinished after about 20 years or sometimes quicker. Refinishing of fiberglass swimming pools can be done with no problems as we have refinished 100's of them over the years down here in Florida. Fiberglass pools also can have issues with blisters and cobalting after about 15 years.

Hi David Smith! While we'd certainly like to say "yes, fiberglass is your only option" , that may not be true. In terms of the best type of pool to deal with existing ground water...gunite or fiberglass would probably be your best bet (having not seen your property). BUT given that you love the look of fiberglass, we'd certainly recommend going that route. It seems to be the product you like with the performance you need! Thanks for watching! Hi Margarita Fernandez! Fiberglass pools will work very well in your environment. As for the "popping" out of the ground...it can happen to any type of pool if not properly installed. We've removed them too. In fact we've removed fiberglass pools that WE installed! The difference is that we did not manufacture the pools we removed. And they were installed using installation practices taught for YEARS, that led to one failure after another. Case in point...those pools are the reason we began manufacturing. And, they are the reason we reshaped the way fiberglass pools are installed all over the country. To date we are the only manufacturer that began as an installer. Thanks for the watch.
