    The “bucking” or the “lurching” is the Korean transmission that they now use. Before they used Toyota’s Aisin 6 speed for FWD and ZF 9 speed for AWD, but starting 2023 they changed it to Hyundai’s 8 speed that have been having tons of problems and complete failures in Hyundai/kia vehicles. So it won’t surprise me if a Mexican built car with an Italian engine and Korean transmission were to fail.

      Ya it has issues in vehicles that have way more power and torque. There was a video I saw 2 years ago when I was still working at Chrysler, that showed the durability test on this transmission and engine combo and the transmission was surprisingly reliable for this application. The bucking and lurching is due to improper transmission tuning. Chrysler is supposed to be coming out with a update to fix this issue

    Looks like the Mitsubishi outlander sport platform.

      Jeep Compass stopped using that platform in 2017 when they switched to the 2nd gen

      @brandonruhl1639 no it's the same platform. They just put modern tech on the car. Same dimensions.

    No spare tire would be a deal breaker...sorry...nice otherwise.

      I drive a 2020 Compass Sport, and I bought a full-size matching wheel + spare tire to replace the fixa-flat kit when I purchased it brand new.

      @@georgefoley9793were you able to fit the full size spare in the well?

    • @georgefoley9793
      @georgefoley9793 Před 2 měsíci

      @aaronward2221 Yes, the well is deep enough. However, the floor cover needs to be raised to the taller level setting, which I prefer anyway because it makes the floor level parallel to the fold-down rear seats for cargo and camping purposes. I also had to order a full-size spare tire carrier bolt from the Trailhawk model to properly secure the tire.
