I & I bet many others too are glad you survived 2013. Having a good friend to help your recovery, priceless. A look at what you have achieved since is a testimony to your internal strength. That + the fact you love bikes, makes you a regular hero. Inspiring indeed.
Amazing what that 040 6-way blade can do! That's why I am eyeballing this model, and that's how I found your channel eventually. This versatile blade turns the excavator machine into a mini dozer, able to do low bench cuts and angling the tread surface for better drainage at the same time.
Yes, I have steel tracks. For the type of work I do, they are great. They last much longer, I have had a set last 5000hrs better traction better stability and floatation. But if you're on asphalt and concrete a lot rubber is better. They are factory Kubota tracks. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful day.
I just stumbled across your channel and I'm glad I did. Quick question, did you add the steel tracks to your kx040,? I've run this series with rubber tracks and it never pushed material like what your unit can. Just amazed at how much you can push.
I have always ran steel tracks, they last longer and perform better. I very seldom get on asphalt so I really never needed rubber. The additional weight also helps with stability. Thanks for watching 🙂
@@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 Thanks for the reply, I will ask my Kubota dealer to price with steal tracks. I didn't know it was an option until I saw your channel.
I bought this one in 2021 with no bucks because I already had them all. I paid $65,000. But they have gone up since I bought this one. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful evening.

That is so nice, thank you so much ❤️

The 6 way works very well, it would be hard to go back to a straight blade. Thanks for watching.
The 6-way blade is really practical !
In France we see some Kobelco with this type of blade.
It works very well, it is a very useful tool.
Had one loan for 10 days. Nice machine.
I have had very good luck with the Kubota excavators they are great machines.
The road side angles. Same situation I had but I spread the brush on the low side then took dirt from the high and put to the low side.
Fun work isn't it. Thanks for watching 🙂
Do you have metal tracks on that machine? I didn’t know any modern mini excavators came with metal tracks.

So no I didn't add the steel, I always buy with steel. But it is a very easy to switch to steel.

@@johnnyfranklin5213 you are very welcome.
What price range was your machine? I got $82,000 for the same setup.

I have a skid steer with tires, I get along with the excavator way better. Thanks for watching 🙂
