    Cymas are great guns, there internals are great and there externals are excellent too, when they are about the same price as G&G for their higher end ones like the metal bodied AKs or m4s they are quite hard to beat

    If i buy a gun and i know im gonna upgrade it, i usually go with cyma. Especially their m4s and aks.
    My fav is the cyma platinum m4 qbs. It needs very little to absolutely rip.
    Ive worked on a few Including personal qbs. they’ve been nothing but a breeze to work on and my personal qbs has been my lowest maintenance gun even after upgrading to 35+rps@1.5j

      Here in Japan, at least in my area, VFC guns are regarded pretty high, almost as beloved as TM. My VFC's are all gas guns so I can't speak for the AEG side of the house, but I've had no issues. It's wild how much opinions can differ by region.

      VFC is terrible literally terrible, wouldn't last 6months in the UK scene they've got a really bad name. Externally they look nice but internally cheap and rubbish.
      I'd rather a CYMA for an AK bomb proof easy to source parts had mine 4 years still works only needed minor work. I fell in a pond with the gun and it still works that is a testiment to CYMA

    • @Miguelon88888
      @Miguelon88888 Před měsícem

      @Tom-td7he That's why he is talking about top tier guns to upgrade. VFC shells are durable enough to support about 30 rps ssg builds. Most after market parts fit. They're externals are probably the best on the market too. So you upgrade gears,piston, put a mosfet and well shimmed and tuned and you have a monster AEG. I have a G&P and VFC like that and haven't failed in years of playing airsoft.

  • @venusairsoft6783
    @venusairsoft6783 Před 2 lety +1

    Maybe a bit biased, I think Krytac externals are better than VFC, very marginally. In my opinion I just feel like the Rec7 was a tank. And when I compared the Avalon vs. Rec7 in store before choosing the Rec7, the externals were what won me. I however feel that the Avalon is better internally, and regret my desicion. Nowadays I wouldn’t pick either, I’d build a gun myself of better quality for a lower investment. Krytac does however lack somewhat in the aftermarket compatibility department.

    • @opairsoft8100
      @opairsoft8100 Před 2 lety

      Vfc’s are better externally. Krytac doesn’t have captured take down pins, individual fake hammer/trigger pins, nicer fake bolts, better buffer tube/castle nut color/feel, and arguably better paint matching/coating, though that last part about paint is slightly hard to compare since krytac doesn’t make some easily compare able guns like 416’s and their weird off brand cousin like vfc makes

    • @FinalFury.Gaming
      @FinalFury.Gaming Před 2 lety

      Classic Army is terrible for upgrading. They use specific gearbox shell styles that fit into their lower recievers, which are impossible to take in an out without complications. They aren't very sturdy barrel wise overall with the outer and barrel floats. I built a DSG out of one and had too modify the gearbox shell and change every single part out to prevent the entire gearbox from breaking from a weak link part.

      My ArcTurus AK is the business. Accurate to 60m, good weight to it. Only had it open to change the Bucking and spring. It has never let me down in the two years I've owned it. But if your going to 'gut and upgrade' why not just get a Cyma? Its a good quality rifle but you know your going to want to change the insides on a Cyma anyway and it will be cheaper still than the Arcturus.

    Man VFC is literally the worst internals in the airsoft community. I cannot stress how crap they are, externally look amazing but when you spend a large sum of money and then need more upgrades and a full internal change you may aswell go with another brand. The gears strip, wires glued in the cylinder head seals are none. The QC is terrible steer well clear.
    For an AK build I built a CYMA 0.41 its bomb proof and the spares are cheap made a DSG build for $180 and its so good.

      Their shells, hop ups, barrels, steel bushings from pre Avalon line are decent.

    • @jhqtech
      @jhqtech Před 2 lety

      @@opairsoft8100 Some people have had better luck I'm sure. And some pre avalon stuff was ok, but the avalon is vfcs flagship and in most of their guns nowadays so that's what I base my judgement on.
      That being said, their plastic hop up is pretty cheap and the c clip breaks easily, steel bushings are just pieces of steel so they should be fine and the avalon bearings are pretty meh. Barrels in general are over priced so any stock one should be fine and vfc uses generic brass ones except for the few that came with the maple leaf bucking and barrels. And the shells are garbage, I've broken several in multiple builds, and vfc themselves had to release a new spring guide because the back of the gearboxes kept blowing on out their Avalon's. It's a weaker rip of the krytac gearbox, down to the stupid spring shimming spur gear, only with more v2 compatibility.
      I certainly respect your opinion, but I believe theyre only value is gutting them for the externals.

  • @opairsoft8100
    @opairsoft8100 Před 2 lety +2

    For M4’s, VFC has the best externals hands down at the price point. Their attention to detail such as the captured receiver pins, individual fake hammer/trigger pins, dust cover/fake bolts. Their paint matching/application is very good, though it is relatively thin ish, which is good and bad.
    I find that the next best is krytac, close to the same level of detail as VFC, but isn’t as realistic such the none captured pins and molded hammer/trigger pins. Paint is pretty decent, a little thicker then vfc, but not horrific like GHK.
    Evike G&P is absolutely garbage in externals. The fake bolt is JG/A&K/Dboys level quality. The receivers can have massive mold imperfections on the rails. Paint is very very close to GHK level of quality which is thiccc with three c’s. Hammer/trigger pins are meh. Grips don’t have brass inserts for the motor plate screws so that’s a big OOOF. Only real thing that’s interesting about them is the plastic selectors on some models and to a extent the SAI GRY line and possibly the Magpul/vltor line, but even that has meh paint and can still suffer from mold imperfections.
    Asia G&P is supposedly better internally and possibly externally, but from what I have seen in Evike G&P, I would not hold my breath.

    Man, what happened to you over Christmas?!
    1) VFC’s MP5 is probably one of the worst bases for upgrades as the shell is totally proprietary and the mechanical 3 round burst rules out anything like a Gate Titan
    2) G&P’s gearbox shells have the WORST reputation for cracking! They do also did sell a gun with a mosfet, the i5 series
    3) where’s ICS on your list?

      do not feel offended but personally I think that specna arms are overpaid and a bad choice when they cost half the price compared to today's higher prices, they were quite a popular choice, but at least in my area no one speaks well about the specna due to the poor interior and often curves of the body which makes this brand a expensive, but in return it gives a poor gearbox and body with Not certain quality

    I think my list would have CYMA, Lancer Tactical as well as G&G, as these companies have all been pushing the envelope with upgraded internals as a whole. All of these have updated stronger gearboxes, most with solid quick change systems (that guns like G&P don’t offer). To my knowledge all three I’ve listed come with full metal rack pinions, often times rotary hop units, and non proprietary trigger units. I’ve been running a lancer tactical proline, as a DSG with the stock gearbox, a BTC spectre (that dropped right in) and an m160. It’s rhopped with the original bucking and hop unit and the stock barrel is fantastic. I’ve since stripped the stock and rail (which were fantastic quality just not my style) and rebuilt a boneyard receiver set and sold that, as well as used the stock ETU unit to upgrade an MP5 and sold that. All still running today
