The microdistrict is located in the south-eastern part of the city on the left bank of the Svisloch River. On the right bank there is Loshitsky Park. Downstream Svisloch flows into the Chizhovka Reservoir, on the banks of which the Nadezhda Grekova Park is located. Interestingly, the neighborhood is actually located on a peninsula between the Svisloch, the Slepian system and the Chizhovsky Reservoir. The boundaries of the neighborhood are therefore very clearly defined. You can enter it only from Trostenetskaya, Koshevoy, Vaneyev, Plekhanov, Malinin and Denisovskaya streets. Plus three pedestrian bridges: from the district of Kamvolny to Borodinsky Street, from the remains of Sheypichi village to the district of Semyonova Street and to Chizhovka by the newly built bridge at the influx of Svisloch into the reservoir. And crossing on the slabs, stepping over the water, at the waterfall to the Protestant church on Jan Rainis Street. That's it, no more communication with the "outside world" even on foot.
The development of Serebryanka was started in the 1970s. The appearance of Serebryanka district (formerly Zheleznodorozhny settlement) is connected with the construction of the Moscow-Brestskaya and Libavo-Romenskaya railroads in 1871-1873 on the south-eastern outskirts of Minsk. The name of the neighborhood comes from the name Serebryanka - a small river that used to flow into Svisloch. It started in the area of Minsk-1 airport, flowed parallel to the present-day Aerodromnaya Street and flowed into the Svisloch near Denisovskaya Street. The river valley began to be called Serebryanyi Log (ravine, gully). At the mouth of the river in the XVI century, the village of Serebryanka appeared, and at some distance from it later appeared a few stanzas and a tavern with the same name. The forest on the other side of Svisloch was named Serebryany Bor. In the middle of the XIX century, when Minsk approached the boron, another settlement named Serebryanka appeared on the opposite bank of the Svisloch from the city. The Serebryanka neighborhood is located on the site of this boron today. The river itself was turned into a ditch in the first half of the XX century, and during the expansion and leveling of the airfield surface in the post-war time - it was filled in.
The estate called Serebryany Log has been known since 1551. In the XIX century, the area was called Serebryanye Mills and served as a place of recreation for the townspeople. In 1895 an iron foundry was founded here, and in the early XX century Serebryanskaya Street and Serebryansky Lane were located on this territory.
The modern Serebryanka neighborhood is located a few kilometers northeast of the historic Serebryanka.

И откуда вы уже такие современные взялись. И в Европе и в Америке везде есть старые и старинные здания и никто их не сносит, но если Россия и Беларусь сразу вспомнят про СССР. Минск очень красивый, современный и чистый город, как и все города и посёлки Беларуси.

проехали мимо моего дома, даже на свои окна посмотрел ). В видео, на мой взгляд, не хватает пояснений. Типа: Вот тут троллейбусное депо. Там кольцо трамвая. Слева проехали парк Грековой и рынок Свелта. За ними находится Чижовское водохранилище. Недалеко Зоопарк и Чижовка-Арена. Далее, рынок и бывший универсам "Серебрянка". Там Восточный автовокзал, который сейчас не функционирует. Реконструкция стадиона Трактор. В 90х - 00х известная дискотека Корчи. Справа когда-то был всем известный ресторан Красный мак. В стороне осталась шоколадная фабрика Коммунарка. А на месте велозавода идет стройка. Ну и т.д. )
