It's great seeing these videos as an inspiration to others, but....if you want to improve, think about scale next time. The boat is way to small, waves size are off etc. If you want to make a believable image, scale is at the top of importance of understanding. I worked on several of the actual boat shots for Life of Pi, so I do know a bit about this stuff.

There's a problem like when the boat is moving according to the waves especially in that small boat the person should move a little bit here and there to look like he's trying to stay still in an unstable boat.
