I was there for the race on sunday... Really cool to see all the world cup stars live and in such a small competition where you could stand next to them and watch.

That's one of the coolest things about summer racing. You get an up close experience that you don't get at the WC. When US and Canada used to face off at N.A. rollerski champs it was so cool to see my heros race up close

@@BrianHalligan-USA Yes at one point I was standing at the shooting range watching the men's race and the Öberg sisters came to stand just next to me.. But I was too starstruck to say anything hehe.

Got a link from CZcams on your channel. Love it. I am primarily a cross country skiing (and roller skiing) follower but not much on biathlon but now with I am going to pick up the biathlon scene more especially with English commentaries. Thank you very much.

obviously as an American I know Stina most from when she and Jessie Diggins battled to the line in the PeyongChang Team Sprint. It would be great to see Jessie pick up the rifle and compete with Stina at an IBU event haha

@@BrianHalligan-USA , a few reasons why I do not follow biathlon are: 1. I do NOT understand the rules and even upon googling I still cannot find a site that I can get a basic understanding of how to score by mixing skiing and shooting; 2. the nature of the sport which skiing is 'interrupted' by shooting thus loosing the continuity or the flow in the sport.

Can you point me to videos and/or websites which I can learn more on how to watch biathlon?

Appreciate it. I agree that Samulesson and Ponsiluoma give the Swedish men a great 1-2 punch. These two plus the sisters make for a great Mixed Relay team.

Samuelsson, ponsiluoma, H. Oeberg and E. Oeberg or Nilsson would be a STACKED mixed relay team

Another great video. Thank you. Break down of that rifle mounting should be interesting. It might be an adaptation of a game control (as opposed to recreational hunting) technique.

Not sure I understand... a video about shooting technique or best practices for holding the rifle?

@@BrianHalligan-USA The break down of how that rifle is moved from the carrying position to the shooting position. You talked about analysing exactly how that movement was carried out.

Even if its impressive, stina is still not young.
She will be 29 years old next year.
Women dont last as long as men in biathlon.
If she turns out to be a real talent and actually can be top 10 this season or even go for the medals, she will have like 2-3 years left untill she gets to old.
Even most men in biathlon quits in the early 30:s
