      Using natural products doesn’t mean just sitting at home using DIY products. It means you don’t want to use CERTAIN chemicals that are used in products that either their production is bad for the environment or are known hormone disturbers or linked to cancer. I only use natural products but I also research all my products and purchase them from reputable brands.

      That’s why you should only use certain natural products aloe, jojoba oil,grape seed oil, African black soap, collagen, vitamin c, hylaronic acid and so many more organic pure natural products that actually are affective and healthy for the skin ive been using them for years. And I don’t think you should use lemon at all or sugar on your skin you should only be using gentle exfoliating products I use a rice exfoliating scrub it’s so gentle compared to regular sugar/salt scrubs and doesn’t damage the skin like they do.

      Of course skincare is reliant on products. That’s why “care” is in the name. Skincare can’t change things on a molecular level, otherwise it would need to be FDA approved. Even skincare products with collagen or hyaluronic acid won’t be able to increase collagen and hyaluronic acid production in the skin, but of course they can give the illusion it’s in high production. Her logic is so dumb, I don’t even understand how her dermatologist hasn’t corrected her yet.

    • @OscarGoldman77
      @OscarGoldman77 Před 4 lety +45

      Actually coconut oil is great for the skin unless you have very oily skin. It's high in Lauric acid which has been proven to fight acne better than benzoyl peroxide. Coconut oil is highly antibacterial and the medium chain fatty acids hydrate the skin nicely. Coconut oil gets a bad rap, people who don't know what they're talking spewing other people's talking points without researching for themselves.

    • @liv2917
      @liv2917 Před 4 lety +60

      In my experience coconut oil broke me out pretty badly. I have very acne prone, sensitive skin and I tried it because it worked for my best friend and she recommended it, but it was a big nope for me. I researched about all it’s great benefits and nutrients, but sadly it’s also very comedogenic and can lead to acne in some people. I suppose it depends on your skin though. I’m not entirely against it since I’ve seen it work on someone and it’s good in body butters, but personally I’d rather not put it on my skin.

    • @wildpasta
      @wildpasta Před 4 lety +35

      @@OscarGoldman77 The oil of coconut itself clogs the pores because of how thick it is. So the problem is not with coconut and its benefits, the problem is with the oil of the coconut. Given how thick coconut oil is, the benefits within the oil (like lauric acid which you mentioned) can't even get absorbed by the skin and the oil just ends up sitting there. Which is why coconut oil gets its good stuff extracted in the lab and formulated into products. Get your good lauric acid found in formulations. Get your already-extracted antibacterial and good medium chain hydrating fatty acids found in formulations. The actual OIL of Coconut OIL has a bad rep, not the good extracts of coconut oil.

      @sharicola8870 Před 4 lety +5

      I'm not saying that coconut oil is particularly bad for the skin or not but for me, it breaks me out. And my skin is as far from sensitive as it gets. There are like two things ever that break me out. And I tried literally hundreds of products until I built my perfect routine.

    • @automnejoy5308
      @automnejoy5308 Před 4 lety +10

      Hannah I use raw coconut oil but only a little. It doesn't just sit there. It absorbs completely. Once in a while it may cause a pimple but nothing major. The moisturizing benefits I get from it are worth it. I get that wouldn't be the case for everyone. But seriously, what product works for everyone? It's one of the safest and gentlest things to try and helps a lot of people, and isn't that expensive either so I don't understand why some people look down on it.

    "everything is a chemical"
    THANK YOU! I am a chemist and I have been saying this for years. As a corollary: crude oil in a barrel is "natural" but you'd never put it on your skin.

      Bella: brb, gotta go skinny dip in a barrel of diesel for natural glow and then crude oil for extreme hydration locking because its 💫natural💫

      When someone says 'I use X because it's natural' I always reply 'well so is cyanide'. It often leads to very boring discussions where they try to defend their position.

      @@kiralightyagami9090 I don't like to argue but who is here jealous? Everyone is just expressing their opinion. What she does is completely wrong and everyone is so suprised that she does that because she is actually really rich and can afford everything of skincare if she wants to ,but still you don't even have to pay some extreme amount of money, you can buy good skin care for 5-15$ and then here is she using something that is awful for the skin while she can use anything she wants and she still uses this. If I didn't spell something right, English is not my main language.

    I want to say, that most of my experience with natural skincare has been trying to find ways to take care of my skin when I literally couldn't afford it. Coconut oil for example is probably not great, but it's cheap (3€ a tub) and would work on my body. A video on skincare when you can't afford it would be very lovely to watch 💕💕
