    I honestly think your problem is the Acceleras, they’re terrible tyres, when I worked at a tyre fitting garage we used to change so many of them under warranty for feathering on the inner edge and sidewalls cracking around the bead after sometimes only weeks. It's more about the fact it's a very cheap all season. My boi keeps cheaping out on the tires. A Continental ExtremeContact DWS, Pilot Sport All Season 4, Falken FK460 or Pzero All season would blow the heck out of these tires. And many of those will still do 50K miles. That's just advanced silica compounds today.

      @@ignasanchezl I've got the Falken FK460s on my car (FWD, ~300hp) and they are great. I previously had Continental Extreme Contact Sports, their UHP summer tire. I can definitely tell a difference in sidewall stiffness, the Falken are softer. At least in my application I am not struggling at all for traction in acceleration or braking, 30 rolls etc. They are significantly cheaper than the continentals too

    • @MalcomHeavy
      @MalcomHeavy Před měsícem

      I am currently rocking the Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02's and they are AMAZING. Taking the infamous Cali exits at 50 MPH and feeling so much confidence while doing it is something you have to experience. If you don't know about the Cali exits, They're basically on/offramps that are a near 360° turn and the limit on them is anywhere from 15mph to 25mph.
      I can not recommend these tires enough. They out perform the Pilot Sport 4S' and after having them on for 20k miles, the "W" for wet road conditions is barely worn down.
      The only real problem I've had with them is how easily they hydroplane at high speeds, but you would be hard pressed to find a tire in its bracket that performs comparably.

    One thing Ive learned with coilovers is that the recommended spring rates are already going to be stiffer than any boaty stock ride. If anything, I drop the spring rate down like 1 or 2k and upgrade to swift springs and you can get a great ride thats still plush enough for a daily driver and stiff enough for some spirited driving.
    Second, your slower time could just be due to those tires no being that great but also if the wheel and tire setup is taller than what was on there, you are basically putting a taller final drive gear ratio on the car. That could make it a little slower as well.

    My work shoes for over this past year has been a pair of Brunts. They've been great as its very cool to see they sponsored this video.
    The only cons (or FYIs) to note are they are not breathable (so your feet get very sweaty after a long day) and I'd recommend regularly changing out the insoles (as they wear out fast if you use them everyday).
    Despite those two things, I'd definitely by them again. They are super durable and fairly light with their synethetic protection system (vs having steel heel and toe protection).

    Brother you need some pilot sports or continental dws ‘s. Knce those tires warmed up you got alot of wheel Hop so maybe some stiffer motor mounts as well. Id also recommend getting the suspension professionally tuned. Nothing beats those lasers man.

    Looking at the wheel spin shots, you should take some camber out. Look at the smoke, and you'll notice the outer block isn't really doing anything.

    Tyre fitter here. Accelera tyres are among the worst tyres I ever laid my eyes on. Even the entry-level Continentals would do a better job. I know, budget matters, but one thing the car owner should NEVER skimp on, that's tyres. They are the only thing touching the road and they are the ULTIMATE determiners of your cars performance in every category: acceleration, braking, handling, road noise. Also if overall weight of the wheel assembly (rim, tyre, balancing weight, centre-bore locating ring) is bigger than factory wheels (Accelera tyres aren't the lightest things out there and can offset weight saving of the rotary-forged rims), it'll blunt your acceleration. Finally, the front-wheel-drive car needs softer front springs and dampers to make the front squat down more on acceleration and force tyres into the road.
    Love everything else you've done to the car.

    I had a problem with floating feeling on my accord when cornering and changed the front sway bar bushings with factory ones and rear with polyurethane. After that, the car feels a million times better. So maybe yours are all ready shot, especially if they are the ones that come with the car from the factory. The front ones are pain to change, but it woth the time.

    Hey Gingium, I'm pretty sure you have a Honda Accord with the limited HFP kit. That kit comes from factory with that bodykit, and the "carbon" interior. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's true (same thing for the early 2000s EP3s that had a HFP kit).
    Love the channel, your Fit series convinced me to also get one, GE8 though👌

    I have an 04 2door v6 6mt ex-l with nav; I can tell you now is the time to change the timing belt and check valve clearance, specifically the intake side; they are well know to get tight, other than that the clear coat Honda did during the early 2000’s is shit, other than that it’s a great car, mine is sitting at 139k; with no issues, except that clear coat……
