She gives you a little of Janet (for dancing), a little of Whitney, a lot of herself! She is a classic example of a child star who struggled into major superstardom as an adult. She, Stacy Lattisaw, and Tracie Spencer were my girls in the late 80s (Stacy) and the early 90s.
Shanice is out of the world when it comes to singing. Her style and her voice are perfect. Clear pitch whistle and remarkable range. I want an album so sooooooooooon!!!!

After Laface, Shanice went on to focus on her personal life. Shanice has goals in life that are not confined to making albums. She wanted to sing, perform on Broadway, get an education and raise a family; all these she has achieved. Now she has done all those great things she is ready to renew her singing career and so has started her own label. She released her latest album in 2006 and that was a superb album, it did well being Indie and she will be putting out a new one early next year.

What about longevity, Shanice was recording at the age of 10 but cd wasn't released until she was 13, now as for singing shanice is up there with the best of them and her voice is still golden. Singers don't last as long as she has and when her new cd is released in january, she's going straight to the TOP.
