The 5th Element is definitely one of my most favorite Sci-fi movies.
One of the best Sci-fi movies ever made with a mixed of action and comedy at the same time.
You must have very low standards
Not sure I would say best but definitely in the top 10 for sure. Originally I _hated_ it at first for how over the top it was. Once I realized that was intentional after a few more viewings it grew on me; the opera scene became one of favorite HT speaker tests.
RIP Ian Holm, Luke Perry, Brion James, Tommy Lister, John Neville, John Bluthal, Sonny Caldinez. You were all part of something special.
Spot on! Great cast! I love how Gary Oldman played it. All the ogrs were hilarious Specially the gun test / delivery scene. :D Bruce? Funny version of "Die Hard". Yummy, Milla so beautiful!
Scenography, like the idea of no gravity in the city and 3 dimensionall motorways, mixing some ancient past and the future. Great story told. Really had a blast watching this.
Brilliant mixture
Stupid movie 🙄🙄🤷🏻♂️
The one and only movie I would not get tired of watching over and over again. Great movie. Legendary cast.
When it was at the theater my daughter did a marathon and watched it over and over every day until she watched it 19 times in a row over the weekend.
5th Element will always be a timeless classic!
Watch for Valerian next. This guy is awesome...
@@jeannoelsandrazie1874 I shall, thanks!
Milla was really good in this movie. And obviously Gary Oldman is excellent in everything he does. Chris Tucker was freaking hilarious.
One of the last Bruce Willis movies that felt like he was enjoying being there, and still turning on that fun early BW charm.
Die Hard in Space. ;-)
Ruby Rhod the OG streamer/vlogger before it was cool. 😁 I love the character and Chris Tucker just nailed it perfectly.
They aren't cool, but it was a perfect prediction of future.
This movie does NOT need a sequel, prequal, nor remake - it's perfect!
The casting for this movie is phenomenal, all the characters are so memorable 😂😂
I can't believe this was 26 years ago. Feels so much like yesterday. Sucks getting old.
Tell us about it...
One of my favorite movies. It never gets old.
Great movie with a bit of a twist. The hero and the villain don't meet or speak at any time. They aren't even really aware of each other. There's a close moment towards the end of the movie but it never quite happens.
YES - AMEN to this
This movie still stands as one of my all-time favorites.
The SFX hold up surprisingly well due to the mix of CG and models 🥰
The aesthetic of this movie is still impressive
Artist Jean Moebius Giraud gets credit for the design aesthetic.
Jean Paul gaultier did the costume design… this is an iconic movie I still watch to this day
Same it's my go to movie
W😊😊
Also see The Cook the Thief His Wife and Her Lover.
Time to get that movie out again! One of my all time faves.
Agreed!! WATCH PARTY!!!🎉🎉🎉
This movie is just a perfect storm. Everything came together amazingly - characters, acting, set design, costumes, creature design, cinematography, special effects, humor, oh and the music. Top notch.
At the time of the movies release, each and every friend and relative thought this movie was, in a word, weird.
All these years later, each and everyone one of them, downright love this movie. As do I still.
I mean yeah, when are they just gonna realize we're always right
_Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets_ was the "sequel" to _The 5th Element._ At least, that's how I watched it. They both feel and look like 2 different places and moments in time within the same universe. I've seen several Luc Besson films, but _The 5th Element_ is his masterpiece.
No wonder I like that film. I never put the two together.
Valerian is based on a french comics, but it's kind of a spiritual sequel in a way.
Couldn't imagine any other actor/actress playing Leeloo and Ruby Rhod. Chris Tucker was hilarious and Milla Jovovich's prelude to Resident Evil franchise! Definitely a superb casting choice for these two.
You can't make a sequel to such a perfect film.
The name of the character Diva Plavalaguna is also the name of hotel resort in Poreč, Croatia called Plava Laguna. Luc visited the resort when he was young and that why he named the blue alien Diva Plavalaguna.
one of the best movies of all time! luc besson is a visionary!
This was a fun movie, never took itself too seriously, and was riotous and colorful. As a fan of Jean "Moebius" Giraud I loved the production design too.
Anyone who watched the movie as many times as i did definitely picked up on the language aspect. You knew what they were saying. It made sense. Im glad they confirmed it so i dont look crazy
One of my favorite movies of all time. I must have watched it a dozen times and I still enjoy it.
Great movie with an awesome cast. One of my favourites.
Wow, I can't believe I'm this early to a CZcams video of one of my favorite movies. I remember seeing this in the theaters as a kid. It has everything, sci-fi, action, comedy, romance, fashion, and unique quirkiness.
One of my favorite movies!!!
In 5000 years I hope he keeps his word and makes the sequel!
👏 👏👏
One of the best movies ever made, period.
When doing Imaging Science Foundation Training we used this movie (and others) to illustrate examples of stunning videography that we learned to adjust projectors and displays to maximize. Stunning. This movie set video standards for decades. And it was entertaining and years ahead of its time.
I love this movie! Very nice Sci-fi. So nice :) One of languages Mila speaks is Serbian. Often. When Bruce is driving taxi Mila said: ne talasaj! (don't make waves). Plava means blue. Very nice movie :)
And CZcams has The Fifth Element for free right now
One of my most favorites 👍🏿
One of my top 10 favorites!
I was hoping this would have some interesting info on the amazing music in the film. Eric Serra's music was genius and fit perfectly with the movie. One of my favorite soundtracks to this day.
It's perfect. I am so glad they did everything like they did. The actors and actresses all were a great choice. I don't think I would have liked the movie as much if anything was different.
❤❤❤ no doubt, I really liked this film and never get tired or bored watching it over and over again...
Such a CLASSIC!!!! I looove this movie! Chris Tucker was my favorite!!! So hilarious!!! 😍🥰
Multipass, I say every time I go to the airport hoping somebody is as corny as I am lma😂I LOVE thos movie and watch it quite often when I want some straight up laughs.
I've Always Loved This Film.
I remember watching this in theaters, everyone was dancing once the Diva scene came on. So fresh and always fun to watch, all I want to know now are who were those fine stewardess on the plane and where can I find more like her?
Qatar Airlines
A complete master piece. Lightening in a bottle. Easter eggs Galore. Lee Evans, and Tricky both from Bristol England, my home town.🙆
5th Element holds the top spot on my list of favorite Sci Fi movies.
I heard they are planning on doing a reboot of this movie, but with an all pachyderm cast. It will be called:
"The Fifth Elephant". 😎
This is one of my favorite movies.
One of my top 3 movies of all time!
Prince? Ruby Rod? That would have been a disaster. I can't see anyone but Chris Tucker ❤
That movie was GREAT ON ALL LEVELS !
The look of 5th Element is so much like Heavy Metal, including the cab scene.
I’ve got to watch this movie already ❤❤ great video ,
Love this movie! Big bada boom!!
I watched it the other night June 2023 I've watched it before excellent film great actors
Fantastic Movie.
Favorite movie. Hands down.
My most favourite movie ever !
Classic movie!!! I love it ^_^
Love the actor and actress so much that's why i watch they're movies all. The time
This leaves out how much influence the Heavy Metal cartoon movie had on this film.
BRUCE is ONE of the best.
It was a really good movie. One of the very few that I won’t mind seeing Again…and again
Great movie. I've seen it already 12 times
It's such a great film.
Ive pondered the situation of Harry Stamper leaving the ship for? Also the Thornton appearnce with mustard biscuits. The details of those unmentioned button as he waking through a dark highlighted bluish like a ampitheatre was subtle.
This one and Stargate are my favorites!
My all time favorite childhood movie ❤ I always wanted to live in future nyc
I love this movie
The 5th Element is my favorite movie of all time! Chris Tucker and Adam Ant with the billiard balls....😂😂😂😂😂
Mila's performance was fantastic!
Gary Oldman if you’re seeing this, Zorg was really good character!
Gary Oldman is hands down an amazing actor, one of my favorites. I don't think he's ever done a bad performance in any film in his life. 🫡
It's one of my favorite movies that I love, but I get some people who dislike it, but that's just them.
They don’t make fun movies like this anymore! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
I have had a copy of The Fifth Element in my personal library since the night it dropped to pay-per-view back in the day.
Movies like this make me believe they def had alien guidance for every aspect. Everything was perfect
I’m just glad someone finally got to the bottom of the untold story of the fifth element.
Can we just talk about Lee Evans as the crew member aboard the cruise ship for a second 😂😂 brilliant.
No sequel, prequel, remake, any kind of franchise or the-same-universe shit. The Fifth Element is perfect as is. Nothing to add, nothing to cut.
Great choice!
My favorite too
❤🎉
Love Fifth element
Then Luc Besson thought... "Hmmm, she's a bit old, 19... I like 'em younger, but I can still get it on with Milla as I want to dump that other one. I'll give her a role as a blue thing as a way of saying thanks and don't let the door hit you on the way out. Yeah, she'll do until she gets older!"
loved this movie! i also think that Valerian has some parallels to the fifth element. Valerian is also a underrated movie :)
The 5th Element is almost a shot for shot remake of the the comic “The Incal” and a little bit of the cabbie from “Heavy Metal”.
I don't know about the incal but the entire back story and first act are lifted directly from Heavy Metal. You're are quite literally the only other person I've ever seen talk about it
@@rotherthies Same here! I’ve never seen anyone else talk about it. I saw the 5th element first and then later I saw heavy metal and, I instantly knew where he got the idea.
Someone did a YT video comparison
I still watch reactions on this movie.🤗
_Aziz, LIGHT!_ 😁 best movie ever
I like the movie ❤❤
Such an awesome movie! ❤
What's the background music in the video btw?
I was hoping this video would confirm the rumor that Vin Diesel played the voice of Finger, the guy that Bruce willis talked with on the phone in the beginning of the movie.
I still love Bruce with hair. This movie was hard for me to grasp.
How I wish to watch a comparable masterpiece in the few next few years. At the time, the Fifth Element blew my mind, as only Avatar 1 did, at least in the SF genre. When I went to watch Avatar 2 I lost all my hope. Call me a pessimist, but I don't think the movie industry - nowadays - is potent enough to produce such a vital movie. In fact, the movie industry appears more and more like a decaying corpse in search of money, and I say so just to give a surreal idea that this industry has accustomed us to believe in (the possibility of being factual). Well, at least we have 5th.
Best movie ever! Sad there's no sequels. And now the cast is dying off. 😔
Awesome sci-fi movie, should’ve had a part 2 and 3! 😃 fighting new aliens together! 👽
Monsters, props, backgrounds, spaceships and cars and many lines/references small details and more are from 20+ years of sci-fi movies and sci-fi TV series. Part of the fun when it came out was to see how many you could spot. the more times you see it the more you find. ''Hans Solo tried to kiss Princess Leia, she had a gun'. Tribbles falling out of a hatch Star Trek . City is Blade Runner. blue singer and small animals are Star Wars. Beginning is Stargate. drawing pictures was 3rd Encounter. big gold monster at the start is Kosh in Babylon 5. big and small scenes parodies. Bruce Willis movie parodies, many more
I'm surprised nobody mentioned how similar beginning is to Harry Canyon story from 1981 movie "Heavy Metal"
Thankyou for saying YOvovich for Milla Jovovich. I don't think I've ever heard another say it correctly. While watching the commentary of Resident Evil 1, she stresses that pronunciation.
I love Heavy Metal
One of my top favorite movies of all time up there with Blade Runner
Tobad she won’t live but then again who does I always liked the way he said that
Lovely ❤️❤️❤️🌷🌷🌷💋💋💋
