  • I go through a few tips on how to change out the interior lights with LEDs. For this video I am working on my new 2005 Toyota Highlander. Its a great car, but the lights just are adequate, so its time for a change. The LED Lights I use are listed down below from Amazon, links provided. I appreciate that feedback just as much. I am really happy to hear it made a difference. I actually just got a newer highlander for my wife, so I will be doing the same to her car soon. Some videos on the new one will come shortly I'm sure. And, of course, I won't forget about my older one as well. Take care and thanks for the Sub! **SK**

    Thanks my friend. Got an old 2001 Kluger (basically the same car, Japanese import) here in New Zealand. LEDS not only look better, they don't drain yer battery if you leave one on!

      I think I heard that name before. Perhaps on some car show, but that's cool. And agreed that is definitely an added benefit, and I know from experience as I have left mine on by accident.**SK**

    Great tips! Thanks for posting. I just purchased a 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited. The Limited does have the outside temperature read-outs. But these interior lights are going to make a huge difference! Thanks for the video and the info!

      Wow! I just put the LED lights in my Highlander, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I could barely see before, and now, it’s almost like daylight in there! The rear license plate lights are a huge improvement as well! Next will be the headlights and fog lights as well as the high beams & back-up lights. Thanks again for your videos!

      @BearHands31 it is amazing right...night and day almost. The Headlights are a huge difference, too, even if the headlights aren't super clear plastics anymore, but the reverse light is a MUST. I used to open my door all the time just to see when on back roads with no street lights, but no longer! Reminds me, I think I took a video or two of installing and seeing them in action, I may try to post that if I can find it.

    Amazing video I changed the lights today with your help but I noticed the lights under the seat are different
    Can you change those ?if so what model bulb is that one?
    The other question is the licence plates bulbs are the same of door lights ?
    Thank you so much for your help and taking the time of making this video
    Can’t wait to be night and notice the difference 😊

      You know I had a comment about the vanity lights (one in the mirrors in the visor) not too long ago. I never changed mine. Nor did I do the license plate. But I may get around to doing them soon and if I do, I will put out the video. I couldn't say right now what bulbs they are though sorry. I would think it's possible for the license plate to be the same as like the doors..but I know the vanities are different. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. Be sure to Subscribe so you can catch the next video on that and tons of my other content too.**SK**

    I was in the middle of this and when installing a bulb in the passenger side door something happened and all the interior lights are now inoperable. I checked all the fuses and they’re intact. Any ideas?

    • @SKLIFEstyle
      @SKLIFEstyle  Před 2 lety

      My friend who is well knowledged in that stuff says to try a diff. power source and perhaps the LEDs blew, as they have things built in to do so. Sounds like maybe too much juice for those bulbs but not the circuit itself. Sorry to hear that happen though. Let me know how it goes and be sure to Sub!**SK**

    will the lights you linked in the description fit a 2008 highlander??

    • @SKLIFEstyle
      @SKLIFEstyle  Před rokem

      Hard to say. That's a newer gen. I would think they still fit, as the lights are kind of universal, but you can always look for that brand and then just have Amazon check if it fits your vehicle. If I had to wager I would bet yes.**SK**

    Did you replace the sun visor lights? I tried to do that and the led lights I used for everything else was way to big to use, was curious what you did, thanks.

    • @SKLIFEstyle
      @SKLIFEstyle  Před 2 lety +1

      You know I did not. Never even crossed my mind. I can see them being a different size due to thr flat nature of the visor, so that makes sense. I will probably leave them still just because I don't mind the softer light right in my face as I go to check my face. But who knows, I may get bored and upgrade them at some point.**SK**

    HOW TWO CHANGE BULBS ON THE DASHBOARD ON THE 2012 TOYOTA HYLANDER

    • @SKLIFEstyle
      @SKLIFEstyle  Před 2 lety

      That I have never done. Bulbs in the back of the dash sounds like a pain. My friend is a professional installer of electronics. If I had that problem I would probably be asking for his help. But I'm sure once you get the dash face off it shouldn't be too much trouble to swap a bulb.**SK**
