I made a poster board pattern from one of my favorite dresses. It fits me in all of the right places. So when I want to take in a top or dress; I just lay that pattern on top; pin, cut, and sew!

Perfect timing! I wondered how to take in tops, not for the Y2k look, but for post weightloss. I'd love to see what to do with a drop-shoulder sweater or top where the shoulder area needs to be reduced as well. Also, is it possible to change an oversized drop-shoulder top to have the shoulder seam on the shoulder? Hoping my descriptions make sense to you. Thanks for all that you do! :-)
I know what you mean. You have to take the sleeves off and cut back the shoulder then put them back on. The only problem with this is if the sleeves were barely long enough beforehand, they’ll be too short after.

God yes! I like my oversized button ups but I swear they don't sell fitted ones anymore. Im looking for one for ages.
So I love that the low-rise jeans are coming back and that you have so so many ideas on how to upcycle them however, I need you to show me how to upcycle men's jeans to fit me (woman/mom). Yes, it's out of the norm, but I have 4 boys and these kids don't want their VERY EXPENSIVE JEANS, (32/32 men, I'm a size 2/4 woman) some w dang tags still on them. I love how some of their jeans look, but I need to make them fit me. Tell me how to do this. I'm not a beginner, but I'm not that advanced yet either. Please help my sweets.

Hi! I’ve recently become interested in getting into sewing so that I can tailor my clothes. I wanted to ask you if you have any sewing machine recommendations?
After teaching beginner sewing classes, here’s a few features I recommend for beginners and a few sewing machines recommendations.

3. Needle Auto Up/Down
Bernette B38, Singer 6800c, Husqvarna Viking Emerald 18
These are all sewing machines that’ll go with you as you grow as a sewist. I’ll add a video link as well if you’re on a really tight budget.
