Max (Chris Renaud) is a spoiled terrier who enjoys a comfortable life in a New York building until his owner adopts Duke, a giant and unruly canine. During their walk outside, they encounter a group of ferocious alley cats and wind up in a truck that's bound for the pound.

I feel deepest sympathy for other animals like the sacred viper and the tattooed pig, it's like they are proof as survivors from their owner's abuse. My dog was a rescuer before she had been caged and used as a fighting dog before we adopted her. It took some time to teach her not to kill anything despite her territorial behavior, she's alright with people it's just other dogs she needed to make friends with which is not going to be easy. There are other animals in the world that needed our help from the abuse and darkest times which other humans who are entirely responsible. I wanted to care and train them so they know who to trust and what place they know are safe.

I really love the animals in this movie and the style of it is very amazing. I have never been to new York before, but I would love to go there someday.
My mom lost it every time she saw the poodle rocking out! Whether it was in the commercial or the movie, she just thought it was the funniest thing because of how unexpected it was.

My daughters hamster got lost in the walls of our house for 4 weeks lol he finally came out, idk what he was eating or drinking but he was ok, I now have three cats and they all greet me at the door when I get home from work
